Does anyone know what Joe Dever's plans were (if any) for the series after Hunger of Sejanoz? The final paragraph rather hints that further stories were planned, but were they in any advanced form (ie. plotlines, drafts...) or just ideas? Was JD planning to try and sell the series to a different publisher (which seems rather unlikely since Red Fox were just about the only publisher printing gamebooks by then I believe)?
I remember reading an interview with Dave Morris where he said he still kept the extensive notes he'd made on the (ultimately unpublished) Fabled Lands books 7-12 so that if the occasion ever arose where he was in a position to complete the series he could. I wonder if JD has had the foresight to do the same?

In the several interviews Joe's done in the past few years, he's mentioned that there are four more books in the New Order series that he's planning to write in his retirement. Of course, he's also mentioned before that he'd like to write another short 'World of Lone Wolf' series based on Banedon. Fabled Lands are brilliant! Are you aware of the Fabled Lands Yahoo group? Much the same as Project Aon, Dave Morris and Jamie Thomson have allowed all six books to be placed online.

That's good. Trying to acquire any of the books beyond the first two also fits into the 'over 100 dollar a book' realm.

I think also said in a recent interview (was it during that convention in Italy last year?) that one of these adventures would take place in Telchos.

I own all six of these books, and I went looking for the others books for years until someone told me they were never written, (what a bu.mmer), the ability to cross from one book to the other without linear storylines was wonderful and refreshing, one of the best storylines was where you can walk past an abandoned castle and a wizard (that was freed in a different book -half a continent away-) drops out of the sky declares 'this is a good place for you to build a castle' and woosh he magics everything right there in front of you. I know it sounds 'corny' but that made all the hard work and side adventures satisfying, knowing that I now have my own permanent base (and it's a castle!!)...

That's great news, and I must admit something I quietly hoped he would consider since the series has obviously been a source of such love and joy for him. So, er, how long until retirement then...?

I pretty much love most things Dave Morris puts his pen to, but especially Fabled Lands. I own all bar LotRS, which I've just downloaded from the Underdogs website (though without any of the interior illustrations). It's such a shame that Dave & Jamie didn't begin working on this series even a couple of years earlier, when the situation with the genre might have been sufficiently more positive for another 2 or 3 books to be published.
