i said i was trying to work on an action chart thingy for use with the aon project. I know there is already statskeeper (cant get save and load to work offline nicely) and then there is a very impressive java one which has tons of features, but a little too large for my screen to show everything and fit in the webpage for reading nicely. So I've knocked up this: www.freewebtown.com/skarn/Image1.pngsaving and loading from text file and basic function for everything else The red book in corner I'm thinking of making a popup of all the kai disciplines with descriptions in a book Also to add is a notepad for taking general notes during play. Should be available in current form for download shortly

Looks nice. I like the artwork! The Equipment should be divided into weapons, backpack, and special items. IMO I would scruple to use it on the strength of its mathematic abilities though! ;D 30+8=34 27+7=33 Meal Meal Meal equals 5 Meals Seems it requires some debugging!

For the second time today, I'm with the scum. The math is... creative. The sheet itself, though, is very nice-looking.

heheh, in addressing the things pointed out: the maths is ok, the little boxes contain initial values, and the modifier (number with +) also raises this initial value (ie, you could increase the ep remaining past the initial+modifier value.) the reason the math doesnt work is because the character on display has lost some EP and CS! :-)
The equipment list title 'Equipment' is clickable and will cycle through weapons, special items, disciplines and equipment (so u can see all through the one listing by clicking onwards)
The meals should really be recorded in the meal box using the counter, i was just unimaginative when filling in some of the equipment list to show how it looks with items typed in.
I havent automated much of the action chart. I havnt had a chance to play through all of lone wolf, so i didnt want to run into a situation where the automatics didnt work. So it's all really just like a real action chart, u are basically using a bit of paper to keep track of what current values are.
I'll work a little more on this, I was thinking I could automate Healing discipline by scanning the current loaded page and seeing if there is the tags that represent a combat. if not, increase health by one :-)
Also, the artwork (ie the actual drawings) are NOT mine. I cant draw for crap, and i figured seeing as it was being used for aon project i could use some cut images from the action charts we can get from here. The images are obscured anyway...but yeah, hope it doesnt cause a problem

cool :-D got the auto heal working so it only increases health when there is no combat on the page and added the note taking bit so u have a page where u can store any text you like.
Now I'll just write up a text file to cover the basic usage of this and I'll upload :-D

Otherwise, you need to get permissions from all the illustrators involved. There are huge benefits from making your action chart thingy part of PA of course - besides the eternal glory etc., you'll for instance get your own board here at the PA forum! ;D

No, umm I'm sorry, I don't think it can be Mac compatible :-( I'm not even a programmer, just scripting using a great proggy called DesktopX for windows. Anyway, here is the first release, please dont hate me if its crap, but feedback is needed of course to make it better :-D www.freewebtown.com/skarn/Action%20Chart.exesome notes: It will want to access the internet. That's because I've used an Internet Explorer ActiveX control to display the project Aon webpages. You will need to set it up to show your local lone wolf pages, read the text file link to follow. To QUIT~ right click on a button or something (like any of the things you can interact with you can right click and choose CLOSE. There are other options on the menu like properties, you can play with these, but you might not like what happens. Text file of basic instructions: www.freewebtown.com/skarn/lone%20wolf%20action%20chart.txthope you like it :-D P.S. would love to give this to project Aon to own with licensing etc with it.

yeah, the links have spaces, so only some of it is an actual link. I dont know how this forum interprets web addresses. If you copy and paste the ENTIRE link into your browser, it should work.
Ok, i replaced the spaces with %20 so hopefully webbrowsers will detect the spaces that are meant to be there? I don't know, the links work fine here.

You might want to use the URL tag in future; it automatically takes into account any ASCII32 (or %20) space characters. For example, your URL above could be used like this: {url=http://www.freewebtown.com/skarn/Action Chart.exe}Download here{/url} Obviously, you need to replace all curly brackets with square brackets to get this: Download hereHope it helps!

If this is made available to PA as a whole, then I would most certainly request that it is cross platform and browser compatible first. No offense meant against your project, but everything else on PA works on all systems, on nearly all web browsers, and I'd think we'd want to maintain that level of diversity.

Actually, if you look at the "Related Projects" boards here, you'll see that two out of three are platform specific. The PA policy is that the core parts shall be platform independent, but various nifty utilities may be included in the fold even though they are platform specific. skarnivorous: Join the PA mailing list and announce your utility there.

Well, my bad I guess. Still, there's gotta be someone with enough skills to turn this into a more compatible program.

My suggestion is that since you're the only one I ever hear asking for Mac apps, you pick up a keyboard and start typing, Zippo. };^)>
