My suggestion is that since you're the only one I ever hear asking for Mac apps, you pick up a keyboard and start typing, Zippo. };^)> The minute I saw "General Discussion, on Today at 1:18 pm by Dusk Fox in how does this look," I knew this was coming. For the life of me, though, I can't figure out what that thing at the end is an ascii of. Any hints?

You know me too well, Zipp. If I don't tease you about Macs, no one will, and that would be a crime. And the ASCII is a devil. Horns, eyes, nose, smile, goatee.

Oh I see now! I was looking at it from the wrong angle. It's like one of those magic eye pictures.

I played around with the action chart thing last night and got it working after I realised I needed to actually download the book to your hard drive first! I ran through Flight From the Dark, no problems except the Autoheal function didn't appear to do anything. It's very nicely presented - much nicer-looking than LWAC or Statskeeper, meaning no offence to their authors, and seems fairly functional to boot, although I haven't tested it very thoroughly.

and zipp, I am sorry, it most likely wont work on apples, but there is a program similar to what I used to make this called Konfabulator, I think it might even be freeware, if you can figure out the scripting for it, or how it works, I'd be happy to give you the scripts I've used and the graphics and you can duplicate this in Konfab. It might even be a project I do in the future.
The auto heal should work, I have it going great here. There is no condition on it (like having Healing as a skill or anything) basically if you click it and it says it's on or off, it should be.
I have an idea where it's going wrong though, when you save it doesn't save whether you have it on or off, but the actual program does remember whether the text says Auto healing On or Auto Healing Off and sets it to what you had it on last time you saved, but it doesn't actually turn it on, just says it's on. So at them moment until I fix this, to make sure it really is on, turn it off and on once or twice. It should stick then.
Also, it will only heal when there are NO combat tags in a passage, and only if the passage has a NUMBERED SECTION tag identifying it as a page in the playing part of the book, it shouldnt increase health while you are reading instructions :-D
hope this explains, fix will come soon, maybe when I get a bit more feedback and add a few more changes, otherwise I'll be uploading a new one every day :-)

Note that my comments weren't made because I was pissed there isn't enough support for Macs, but rather because I'd really love to use your program. If it didn't require internet, I'd put it on Shannon's PC and use it off there.

It doesn't require internet, it just uses an internet explorer control so that it can display the offline version of project aons lone wolf files (as they are webpages) it doesn't actually require net access, it's just when you use a program with an internet control in it, firewalls like zonealarm say things like 'action chart.exe is trying to access the internet 192.168.0.1 or something, which is actually your local computer ip address and not an internet address, if you don't 'allow' it, it won't open the local pages. So please, do try it on your friends PC it should work fine as long as they have the offline files and it's set up correctly (read instructions link).
