Do you spend lots of time in a large, well-stocked public library? Or do you live in a city with a large, well-stocked public library?
If the answer to either of the two questions above is "Yes", you might be able to help out Project Aon an awful lot.
We're having real problems tracking down Trevor Newton, illustrator of Voyage of the Moonstone. After some very in-depth Google-fu, we've discovered there might be a way to find out more information about the man.
In the mid-90s, a book was published called A Dictionary of 20th Century British Book Illustrators. There might be some information about the elusive Mr Newton in there.
The problem is, it sounds like quite a big book, so my local village library won't have a copy in stock. I'm loath to ask for them to get a copy in for me to have a quick look at a couple of pages, only to find there's nothing in there. It wouldn't be so bad if my local library was a big city one, where someone else might want to look through it.
If anyone could track down a copy of this at their local library, please could you do so and report back the information to us at Project Aon. It might contain useful information about Trevor, such as what part of the country he lives in, maybe even who his agent is, which would be extremely helpful in contacting him.
Trevor Newton is the last illustrator we need to track down for Project Aon. Let's try our hardest to get his permission so we don't have to release a crippled, illustration-less edition of Voyage of the Moonstone.
