Have you looked at my scoring method? If not here it is:
completing a book= 100 dying= -25-50 (25 if you restart the book, 50 if you just go back to before you died)
Winning a combat without being hit= 20 Killing automaticaly during combat= 5 Evading a combat= -5
winning a combat in less than a 'par' number of rounds= 1 for each round below par you are winning a combat in more than a 'par' number of rounds= -1 for each round above par you are
some score for winning a combat, according to its difficulty (eg +70 for chaos master, +5 for wounded giak etc)
gaining money and valuable items= +score according to their value (eg 1 gold crown= +1) losing money and valuable items= -score gained for finding them

What I think would be absolutely awesome is if each choice kept a different type of score. Like, you had the following possible score categories: Bravery Honor Collector Luck Intuition (and other similar categories)
Each time you make a choice, various points are awarded to (or taken away from) the corresponding category(-ies) that it reflects. For instance:
abandoning the children in the cart about to be attacked by Giaks : -5 honor, -5 bravery Picking up an item : +1 Collector missing the falling mast in book 2 : Luck +1 (be hit by it : luck -10) Following sixth sense : +1 Intuition
Throwing a rock at the giak about to leap on Banedon : honor +1 Attacking it head on : bravery +1, honor +1 Calling out a warning: (I don't know - nothing?) leaving the battle : bravery -1, honor -1
That sort of thing...
Then you could try an find the paths through the book that were the most honorable, or the most brave, or the most lucky, or where you could collect the most items. All sorts of possibilities there.
Plus, I'm sure we could think of many other cool categories that could be scored... just a thought.

Nifty  Throws the door open for other unlockable achievments, really sounds like fun. Perfect addition for Seventh Sense as well.

I like the idea of special awards, like "Bravest Collector: collecting at least 25 items and 15 bravery points before succesfully finishing the book." Only we could think of a cool name, instead of "Bravest Collector", maybe like "Merchant of Courage". Okay, that's not much better. But it'd be sweet to have a little page with honorary medals that you can earn from book to book, based on your scores that you earn. Ugh. more work...

That would be quite a nice addition, I always liked special achievements being recognized in a game...
I have nearly finished book 5, looking forward to releasing it, along with book 4, during the weekend. With the Kai series available, I will have more time looking into special rules and stuff.

Sorry everyone but book 5 is taking a little longer than expected, and I have a little less free time than expected. I will be releasing book 4 by wednesday (I just have a few tests to do to make sure the new features are working), and then book 5 next week, along with the rest of the improvements.
Hope you can all wait until then...

Not that we're competing... Defenitely not... And there's an immense amount of extra work that was put in 7th sense for the UI and looks, animations, custom rules and options, ... MC's just not quite there yet, I'm really concentrating on releasing books for now.

I just released book 4, along with several new features. I will make an official announcement next week when I release book 5 and complete the whole Kai series.
There is a known bug in the save game window: the "New Saved Game" button doesn't work. There is no crash, but the game simply won't save. I will fix that as soon as I return from vacation (Monday).
