Let's come to the most important poll ;D; it's clear what I voted. P.S.: I'm mad about these polls and competions, when I was a child I organized an "Oscar" with many categories about LW gamebooks.

Tagazin for me. Again, we must understand this is all due to my bias toward book 10. Long live book 10!

Tagazin for me. Again, we must understand this is all due to my bias toward book 10. Long live book 10! KL, Torgar junkie I totally agree with you, book 10 is probably the best gamebook of all times, there is everything in there, if I only think about the first time I played it, i can start to cry ;D I feel like I have been in Eru and Torgar: the fight for surviving of the partisans, the battlefield, the ghost island, Lord Adamas, the dramatic battle inside the city, the final trap of Gnaag, the end open (it seems you're going to die and the world will be lost). Somehow it reminds me to the today world... I would like to thank Joe Dever for these incredible reading experiences, NEVER surpassed by any videogame. I read the spanish interview and TOTALLY agree with Joe Dever when he says that in his gamebooks every word is heavily meaningful.

I voted for Gnaag, the Arch-Nemesis of LW. Never a villain had such an impact in the series.

Chaos Master, bot Chaos Lord, or is there any statement of similarity of the two names? Erm, Chaos Master is the best villain. You guys has been very busy on discussing the best way to beat him. Even Zakhan Kimah is not described as much. Not forget to mention, he is a god, a demigod at least..... Tagazin? He is not so menacing until book 17.Can't hardly wait to play!

Gnaag rocks, particularly when he's major-sunburn Gnaag, oozing all over the tiles of his throneroom! NS.

Just remember friend Gnaag, that you're only fun as a villain. That Sommerlund Re-education Plan just won't work... *envisions Gnaag as an office worker somewhere in downtown Toran*
NS.

May I apply now for a PhD at Kai Monastery? It's time of globalization in Magnamund, we need to exchange our technologies

You could. Unfortunately, there is the whole problem with the Sunstone initiation. (If the Sunstone, which lights up according to your soul's goodness, does not shine brightly enough to illuminate you in deep shadow when viewed from the other side of the room, you're just not good enough.) Then of course there are the Lorestones, which might turn black (or something equally nasty) at your touch. And we're not even going to go into the Sommerswerd blasting you BACK into atoms again...
NS.

NS. maybe you're right NS, I do my best in Darklands; however, may I invite you to visit me in my Damned Tower in Helgedad? I assure you it will be so fun that you'll never come back, err want to come back home ;D

I assure you it will be so fun that you'll never come back, err want to come back home ;D Making publicity for your museum, hey? "Come and visit the Tower of the Dam*ed in Helgedad. You'll get the chance to see the roasted tiles where Gnaag died, the one and only set of teeth of Lord Taaktal, and the great fur coat of Vashna. The Tower of the Dam*ed: it'll be YOUR ultimate experience!"

;D *laughing at BC's post above* I went with Gnaag too, he just had such a way of getting you really pissed off! I see you've changed for the better on the forum, though! Maybe re-education is more successful than we first thought. . . It's amazing what being vaporized by the Sommerswerd will do to someone's personality. ;D

I left the Sun-Sword home for Book 11 and boy was I in sorry shape after fighting the Villians of Sommerlund! Without my +8, I was at -6. This was pretty tough to deal with. And that includes the CS-boosting items I use (Shield and Silver Helm - okay, not very many).
Is there a way to avoid fighting these guys I wonder?
