Hi guys, i have got a problem with the last award in book 3 maybe you can help me out? Book 3, Tempt fate award It seems like you've almost got it all. Have you done anything like the last award hint mentions? Highlight below for spoiler: "When in doubt, dig your way out"Spolier 2: this could loosely be interpreted as breaking through something hard, like "digging" through a door... You'll need a really sharp/tough "shovel"...

Hmm... having trouble with a couple of awards in book 8, for which I'm pretty sure I've ticked every box required.
"Strange diseases" I've acquired the disease off the poisoned bolt. I have Curing @ Primate level.. hence I survive initially. I then didn't get the cure intentionally and died on entering the swamp because I didn't have it...
"Diseases, poisons, mistake and ill luck" Disease: Got the disease as above Poison: Ate the monk's stew and got poisoned Mistake: Lost Silver Bow <- thinking this is the mistake.. maybe? Ill Luck: Threw fireseed at swamp gas which blew up in my face

Just a thought about "Roark" award from book 10. Another award could be (highlight) to cut Tagazin's amulet with Arla's axe "Roark was driven to insanity when he recognized the weapon you used to make his master harmless."

Man, I love that one! Great idea, Honza! I'll leave it to kamikaze to make the final say on that one - but I like it!

Yep, I love the irony on that one. Been bogged down with some side projects lately, so it'll be a while until the next batch of awards is shipped out (mostly GM ones, with a few odds and ends from 1-12). Once things clear up time-wise, I'll get back on it ;-)

I'll look into this hemulen... If you happen to still have it (probably not, but doesn't hurt to ask), I'd like to see the save file with this in it, for the section numbers. of the above list. Alternately, you could fill in section numbers for me in the spoilers above (use the edit function), and it will make my job of checking on this award about 10x faster and easier.

Book 11 has a low amount of awards compared to the others, and still there is a lot of potential for (mainly stupid) stuff to do.
For example, I met the most ridiculous death I have ever seen in all the entire LW series. I got killed by that 2 EP loss you get from the OOkor mob just before meeting Serocca...
Then just after the fight with the Shadow Reavers, you have the possibility to heal some EP if you mastered the Spirit Lore Circle. However, it doesn't serve any purpose, since you get a full heal like 2 sections after that. Getting there with full health to begin with would be especially pointless, and would make for a funny (albeit quite difficult, since you've got to fight the Shadow Reavers beforehand) award.
There's also this field of Senara buds where you can harvest 100 meals. I always wondered what was the point of that, since you can only carry 8 items. There's probably something fun to be done with all this Senara (getting an award for eating all 100 meals would be too easy and too tedious, but filling your backpack with it and keeping it that way till the end of the books seems both funny and hard).
Since we're on the topic of food, I also find the idea of a no-meals-no-huntmastery run for books 6-12 quite interesting... dunno if it can be done though.

Has anyone managed to get the Book 11 Fresh Start award as yet? I'm fanatical about trying to get every award, and other than the bad luck for book 8 (as I posted back in August above, and cannot get this), this is the next one I've found nigh impossible to achieve.
Assuming I beat the warrior when you first arrive (choosing the recommended 3 skills), then I cruise through, picking up 8 Senara, and the 1 Haina (using 1 Senara here), until you get shot at near the temple, for which an unlucky roll means insta-death. Assuming you're again fine, it's relatively easy peesy until the Chaos Master (picking up the scarlet sword along the way, of course), for even with the magic broadsword, you can still get whooped with bad rolls against the CM.
Generally though I can beat him, and the worst part for me is when you need an unholy good roll to avoid the Zhengya. I haven't worked out a way to beat the Zhengya "unless" you magically roll 4-5 0's in a row. In other words, you're as good as toast. In the only 3 times I've evaded this beastie...
1st attempt: Struggled in the semi-difficult Shadow Reaver battle, made it through and got beaten by the five villains (had no healing potions by this battle).
2nd attempt: Got cleaned up by the Reavers...
3rd attempt: Beat the Reavers, only *just* beat the Jackson Five. And then lost in the final fight with Wizz Fizz with the Wizard. Worst part, he only had 2 HP left, and the battle could have gone either way on that last roll.
I've tried to get this award maybe 40-50 times now... and no dice. Any tips? Suggestions? I also ensure that in all battles, the RNT redirects to the central square which contains the most 8s, 9s, and 0s. *sigh*

I managed to get Book 11 Fresh Start. It was indeed the most difficult one, and I stopped counting after some 40 attempts.
Here are some hints that could be useful for you:
spoilers:
1) Do not pick the Haina, avoid this section, for in Ookor village you could pick something WAY more useful instead (in Prodigy mode).
2) You can avoid the insta-death RN roll (Agtah sniper) before the Tolakos ruins.
3) If you bravely stand against Zhengha, there is a good chance you could kill or repel it from distance.
Good luck

I should check back here more often... Now unfortunately I don't have the save file, but I did export the log for the book. I put it in my previous entry, and bolded the (IMO) relevant parts. Oh, and I think the psychic fight at the pool was somewhat bugged, but I'll need to try again, and I'll post in the bug-thread if it still acts weird.

hemulen: IIRC in book 8, when you're waiting for Paido, you could explore "fake fruit" (you cannot have Huntmastery I think) and then fight with "fake water". This should be two times bad luck for the award...
