*EDIT*
Since it's released, I figured I'd change the theme of this thread to one that'll help those stuck on an award, as well as for brainstorming for new ideas.
Here's some general information about the awards regarding Difficulties, Length, Unlocking Hints, and Types of awards.
Difficulties:
Feel free to ask for help or vent any dismay over murky hints. Any new ideas are welcome, especially if you find a theme in the text of the books you think might prove a little (or a LOT) challenging. Hope you enjoy and have fun
Although I've gone through great lengths to make certain all awards can be achieved and figured out from the hints given, mistakes are certain to happen. I'm playtesting them all myself, and so far everything seems to be fine, but I have been notified to a couple errors on my end I didn't notice (and have been corrected once I knew what they were). This function is still in development, so any feedback regarding what awards may seem unattainable, or have an error in the Hints or Descriptions themselves, would be appreciated. I'd rather somebody cursed my name for making something extremely challenging and not for leaving a bug or typo in the system or text itself
*SPOILERS*
In the interest of fairness to those who have been following the development, here's the ones already posted in the forums pre-release (and thus, the only ones I'm being blunt about in this thread). Highlight them to see.

*END SPOILERS*
Since it's released, I figured I'd change the theme of this thread to one that'll help those stuck on an award, as well as for brainstorming for new ideas.
Here's some general information about the awards regarding Difficulties, Length, Unlocking Hints, and Types of awards.
Difficulties:
- Easy (requires a little luck and only a little knowledge of the books, mostly those that are almost spelled out for you or deal with number of combats)
- Moderate (more knowledge and luck required, though usually able to be picked up by a newbie who has read the series a couple times)
- Hard (a lot of knowledge and luck required, along with some sound tactics- most veterans may have a little trouble with these, but may enjoy the challenge)
- Expert (usually an intimate knowledge of the series and extremely sound tactics are required, sometimes an improbable but not impossible amount of luck needed, even pros will most likely hate me or whoever developed it, but it will feel like an accomplishment worthy of bragging about if you succeed)
- Single Book (each book has one for minimal and high, though usually not maximum, combat counts, as well as at least one that has a theme specific to that book. Some may require having fewer abilities or a stand-alone playthrough starting with that book, others will not)
- Fresh-start (these awards are achieved by starting a new campaign with any book from 2 to 20, playing it as a stand-alone adventure with a fresh start- in other words, you draw up a new Action Chart for Lone Wolf with new stats, etc., on that book)
- Single Series (each series- Kai, Magnakai, or Grand Master- will have awards tied to completion of that series. Most, if not all, can be achieved by either playing from the beginning of the series by itself, or as part of the campaign from book 1. Book restarts due to mid-book deaths are permitted, so deathless runs are not required)
- Campaign (these start at book 1, and continue till the end of the Magnakai or Grand Master series- a long-haul effort. Book restarts due to mid-book deaths are permitted, so deathless runs are not required)
- Episodic Chain (these awards will require you to collect other related awards within a series or campaign from individual books. For example, completing all Death-Defying Feat awards in the Kai series will earn you the "Asajir Players' Muse" award. You do not have to earn every award in a single playthrough- in fact, certain Episodic Chains will require you to play through a book a couple different times to earn all the required awards.)
- Clues 1-3 are always freebies, though number one is the one in the tooltips, and is the one seen if you hover the cursor over the award.
- For a number four clue, you will need to complete at least one award for the book. (In the case of Kai, MK, GM series/campaign-long awards, you would need to complete at least one other series/campaign-long award within the same grouping (Kai, MK, GM) to unlock the hint.)
- For a number five clue, you must have completed that book's series (Kai, MK, GM) with a By-the-book Run
- For a number six hint, you must have completed that book's series with a Hardcore run.
- Minimum Combat Count (to achieve this, you must have the right Disciplines and select the correct path in order to reach the end with the absolute minimum number of combats possible)
- High Combat Count (to earn this, you will have to be lacking certain Disciplines and looking for trouble around every corner. While these do not look for the highest number of combats possible, sometimes the count needed to earn the award is fairly close to it. These occasionally require starting at a book later in the series or starting the book with a fresh start in order to avoid having Disciplines that will enable you to evade too many fights)
- Item Collection (each of these typically have a theme. For instance, one will require you to hoard potions and herbs while another will require you to hoard money, trade items, expensive items, along with others. These often check both what you're carrying as well as what you have in storage, so be sure to keep items along the theme you want in storage when you need room for more in the next book)
- Death-Defying Feat (this will require you to put yourself in harm's way, where only a Random Number roll, having a certain item or Discipline, or suffering an ill side-effect are the only things that may save your life. Not every chance taken for these awards may be between life or death, but many are)
- Heroic Feat (to earn these awards you must act in accordance with the Lawful-Good traditions of the Kai, exude uncanny proficiency in specific weapons (unarmed included), or complete a self-imposed challenge. Occasionally these feats require you to play on the By-the-Book or Hardcore rule sets, though most require you to play by the Prodigy rules)
- Bounty Hunter (these awards require you to hunt down specific monsters or villains, usually with a theme tying them together according to their type. Note that killing your mark doesn't always require you to engage in combat to do so.)
- Charitable Feat (these awards require an act of selflessness or compassion. These acts may vary from donating a sum of gold to beggars and causes, healing the injured or sick, or assisting others at a personal cost.)
- Intellectual Feat (these test your mind and wits beyond just knowing how to get to the right area. These awards will need you to answer questions, riddles, and puzzles correctly in order to earn them)
- Mischievous Feat (earning these awards might bring a stain on your honour, but often provide challenges of their own. In order to earn them, you must seek out and attempt deeds that go against the Lawful-Good mold of the Kai. Killing innocents (even unwittingly), being self-centered or greedy, and committing criminal actions will be some of the themes when achieving these dark distinctions. Note that you don't always have to be successful when trying to fulfill these requirements- sometimes it's just the thought that counts)
- Epic Failure (your quest and usually your life will end here. But do not dismay too much, losing with style is what will earn you these awards. Most of these have specific actions which must be taken to make the loss become a truly Epic Fail, and many happen only late in the book. So take some chances you never would do normally and see if you have what it takes to achieve Legendary Failure status)
Feel free to ask for help or vent any dismay over murky hints. Any new ideas are welcome, especially if you find a theme in the text of the books you think might prove a little (or a LOT) challenging. Hope you enjoy and have fun
