No matter how many times I clicked on 'game rules' button, nothing happened. However, when I opened and closed my action chart, I found myself on the game rules section anyway. Weird. Also, combat skill does not have a max, so doesn't need a tooltip

Hi, I think I've found a bug in Fire on the Water, Section 337. When I use the "Lose the content of your Backpack and your Weapons" button, my initial endurance score is reduced by 4... If you read the footnote in Section 337, you'll see that you loose all backpack items and weapons as well as the Chainmail Waistcoat which gives you 4 endurance points (see the equipment section). That's why you lost those 4 endurance points. No matter how many times I clicked on 'game rules' button, nothing happened. However, when I opened and closed my action chart, I found myself on the game rules section anyway. Weird. Also, combat skill does not have a max, so doesn't need a tooltip Where did the Game Rules button bug appear? In book 6? It's possible that the background download was slowed for one reason or the other, and that it finished while you were in the action chart... As for the Combat Skill, it doeasn't have a max per se, but on some rare occasion (i.e. when you catch Limbdeath in book 5) that the current combat skill value gets below the initial value... Maybe I could change the tooltip to say "Initial Value"?

It was on book 1 actually, weird.
What would be more useful would be to explain how it's made up eg 19 initial + 2 silver helm - 3 limbdeath etc
Could be used for endurance too

I do that with the Combat Skill tooltip in Seventh Sense, so people know exactly what bonuses are (or aren't!) being counted in the total. Of course, depending on the combat you enter, various immunites or surprise bonuses will still be factored in, that aren't displayed on the action chart, but they are in the battle.

I agree with both of you, that's really the way to go. Will put that in the next release!

Hi,
I've found another bug. In The Caverns of Kalte, section 301, it is possible for me to use Camouflage whereas I don't possess this skill.
Thanks for all your work with Magnamund Commander, it is great ! Ewokie

Hi ewokie,
I fixed the bug for section 301. It was checking for Tracking instead of Camouflage. For the 4 endurance points in section 337, I really don't know what could have caused this, the only thing this button does is removing all backpack items and weapons and removing the chainmail waistcoat. Strange...

Can't get past Section 1... I can collect any number of Power Keys, but the options to move on never become active.

Now this is an 'official' software, should it have a place with Seventh Sense at the bottom of the books page?

outspaced - I forgot to update the items list, so the application crashed when trying to add an unknown item. It should be fixed now. I also realized that it was not possible to select a new mastered weapon if you had already selected weaponmastery in book 6. I fixed it too, but my fix broke something else, so I fixed the fix. Anyways, everything should be pretty fixed by now...
pi4t - Love your idea. Love it.

Also, as it is you can reroll for weaponskill as many times as you like. While this is very useful for getting sword bonuses, it shouldn't really be possible. (I should probably have pointed this out sooner

You're right pi4t, that shouldn't be possible. I remember not doing it in the first book because it would have been a pain to do, but now with all the improvements I had to do for the other books to work, fixing this is gonna be real easy. It'll be done in the next release (book 8!!!
