Hi everyone,
Microsoft just released the first beta of Silverlight 4, which adds a ton of cool new features. The mouse wheel support is greatly improved, so just this could easily make the jump to SL4 a good choice. I would also probably use some other neat feature like right mouse click, etc.
Microsoft also added a new RichTextArea control, which would give a lot more versatility to build the app UI, especially the ability to have buttons in the text (instead of them always having to be on a separate line like it is now). I think that would be a great improvement but I would like to know what YOU think about that, my fellow kai lords...
P.S.: fear not, for even if I do not have a lot of spare time right now, book 8 is coming along nicely.

P.S.: fear not, for even if I do not have a lot of spare time right now, book 8 is coming along nicely. I was under the impression that all books were complete and playable from what you said in the v1.0 thread below. Is that incorrect, are only the first 7 books playable at this time? Thanks.

That's right hazelnut. I meant that the Kai series (books 1-5) was playable. Since then books 6 & 7 were released. To make a long story short: yes, only the first 7 books are playable at this time.

I don't have a mouse wheel, so please add an alternative option.

Ah, okay, the fact that all books are selectable confused me. Thanks for clarifying.
I spotted an issue in book 5 where even though I had lost my stuff, it still added my shield and silver helm bonuses for the gaoler fights. Also, when getting stuff back it overwrote the jewelled mace I got from the chest.

Don't worry pi4t, along with mouse wheel comes great improvements for anything that scrolls, so your resizing/full screen problems should be fixed in the next release.
hazelnut, I will look at the issue where the bonuses that are added even when you don't have the items anymore. How would you like to the game to behave when you get your stuff back (to decide which of the new stuff have that you want to keep)? It could show a window like to one used to keep items in safekeeping, or it could overwrite everything except the jeweleld mace (and maybe the gold crowns), which is the only valuable object you can get while you have lost your equipment. What do you think?

Yay!!
I say, give the player the choice, otherwise it ruins the point of the 'red herring' items.

I agree, just combine the item list and prompt for discards if >12 (discounting special items not counted in the max 12 count)
