Zipp Dementia says: (8:06:02 PM)
I lost track of the time
Zipp Dementia says: (8:06:11 PM)
Busy day: I was gone until 6:00pm in a film meeting
Zipp Dementia says: (8:06:13 PM)
11-6
Silent Wolf says: (8:06:20 PM)
busy day indeed!
Zipp Dementia says: (8:06:25 PM)
Good stuff though
Zipp Dementia says: (8:06:31 PM)
I can't give details because of non disclosures
Silent Wolf says: (8:06:46 PM)

Zipp Dementia says: (8:06:46 PM)
But I'm on the cusp of getting paid a lot of money to do film
Silent Wolf says: (8:06:53 PM)
oh nice
Silent Wolf says: (8:06:56 PM)

Silent Wolf says: (8:07:19 PM)

It is. ^_^ I can't T_T
Zipp Dementia says: (8:07:47 PM)
But what i can do
Zipp Dementia says: (8:07:50 PM)

Silent Wolf says: (8:07:57 PM)

Silent Wolf says: (8:07:59 PM)

Silent Wolf says: (8:08:10 PM)
im looking at some of these mouse guard pics on deviant art. . som are really good
Zipp Dementia says: (8:08:15 PM)
Last we left you, it was in a compromised situation
Zipp Dementia says: (8:08:31 PM)
(oh yeah, I liked your new one. I'd seen it uncoloured before, but it's really nice with the coloured fur)
Silent Wolf says: (8:09:06 PM)
(thanks. I kinda like some of these water colored ones, I may try that sometime)
Silent Wolf says: (8:09:09 PM)
(anyways(
Zipp Dementia says: (8:10:44 PM)
You come awake slowly and painfully, your head rolling to one side on a neck that aches with every movement.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:11:08 PM)
You breath in thick dust and smoke and cough violently, your lungs burning and your chest itching
Zipp Dementia says: (8:11:46 PM)
Your other senses return quickly, but it is not a relief.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:12:35 PM)
The armoured legions of Vassagonia are ammased in a circle around you. In front of them, inside the circle, stands a figure sheathed in gold around whom a cold blue fire glows intensely.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:13:05 PM)
"I have come for you, Lone Wolf," he says, a cruel smile on his lips. You gaze into the ice-cold eyes of Zakhan Kimah, ruler of Vassagonia.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:13:34 PM)
You try to get to your feet and an armoured boot presses against your back, keeping you down. The Zahkan watches you like a cat curious as to the mouse's next move.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:15:30 PM)
(I'll give you some more info)
Silent Wolf says: (8:15:31 PM)
"Feels more like you're army came for me," I say, the words followed by a rasping cough
Silent Wolf says: (8:15:35 PM)
(ok)
Zipp Dementia says: (8:18:28 PM)
The Zahkan merely smirks at your words and looks to his left. You follow his gaze and see your companions, Alen and Altan, and young Tyrenis, being held captive. Altan has the look of a condemned man on his face. Alen's face is battered and bloody, obscurring any emotion he might have. Tyrenis looks as passive as ever. They are not what the Zakhan is looking at, however.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:19:44 PM)
Next to your companions stands the powerfully built Senator Chil, who had spoken, along with Ravine and Askhati, in your favor during the council. Askhati is now dead, and Ravine's fate unknown, but Chil stands with the enemy and looks at you with a strange expression on his face. It is not an expression of triumph. It is closer to fear.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:20:11 PM)
In his hands he holds a sheathe. Even through your daze, you recognize the hilt sticking from the sheathe.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:20:23 PM)
"Bring me the Sommerswerd, Senator," the Zahkan commands.
Silent Wolf says: (8:22:44 PM)
"You bastard!" I yell at the treacherous senator, I claw at the ground trying to push myself out from under my captors boot.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:24:40 PM)
You struggle for a moment before Kimah raises his orb. A blast of fire arcs towards you and whips across your back with incredible pain. It is the feeling of having your skin pressed up against hot metal. This rope of fire embeds itself into the ground on either side of you, trapping you to the earth. Each time you struggle, the pain returns.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:25:29 PM)
"It seems you require a lesson in obedience, Kai Lady," Kimah says, the last word a sardonic slap of his tongue against the front of his teeth. He looks back to your companions. "Bring the men forward. Leave the boy."
Silent Wolf says: (8:27:55 PM)
I stop struggling, biting my lip - I refuse to give this monster the satisfaction of hearing me scream.
Silent Wolf says: (8:29:10 PM)
(I guess ill wait a moment before yelling at him more.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:29:20 PM)
Chil reaches the Zahkan by this point. It is strange to see such a large man walking so timidly. His bald head shines with sweat and he chews on the end of his mustache absently. The Zahkan ignores him and holds the orb towards Altan and Alen.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:29:46 PM)
"Choose Lone Wolf. Choose which will die. If you do not choose, I will kill them both."
Silent Wolf says: (8:32:01 PM)
(dont be impatinet im typing!)
Zipp Dementia says: (8:32:07 PM)
The Sharnazim around the Zahkan make no sound. They watch you, silent as a black wall.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:32:12 PM)
(just adding some further mood)
Zipp Dementia says: (8:33:14 PM)
The hills around you have been churned into dust and dirt by the hooves of charging horses and the air is filled with black smoke, from the explosion, that drifts in wisps across your eyes and nose, burning them.
Silent Wolf says: (8:36:57 PM)
"What do you expect to gain from this?" I spit between a clenched jaw, searching for options. How many are there surrounding us? I flex my muscles, could I just get free and to my sword. . . "Threaten better men while you cower behind your army?" (urgh im slow im sorry)
Zipp Dementia says: (8:37:47 PM)
"Oh I'll deal with you, soon enough," Zahkan Kimah says. "But it wouldn't be fair for me to attack you without some demonstration of what you'll be facing."
Zipp Dementia says: (8:38:01 PM)
(more coming)
Zipp Dementia says: (8:39:52 PM)
"In Vassagonia, we have an old tradition. It comes from the days when we were horse riders and our cities were those of the nomads. The sands were our floor and the stars our roof. In those days only the hard survived and it was imperative to know, early on, who would be a hard man and who would be baggage."
Zipp Dementia says: (8:40:18 PM)
"There were many tribes and many ways to discover one's worth. But one tribe, the tribe I like to think my ancestors came from, had a particularly effective method.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:41:22 PM)
"The children of the tribe were given an animal early in their life. It was a pet, nothing of much consequence. Usually a lizard or sometimes a bird. A desert cat, for the most fortunate."
Silent Wolf says: (8:41:44 PM)
While he's giving his speach I'm still trying to gauge the number of troops surrounding us and work myself into a better possition - I doubt he is suceptible to mind blast but I have to ask :X
Zipp Dementia says: (8:42:40 PM)
The number of troops surrounding you is susbstantial. It is the entiriety of Vassagonia's elite warriors, the Sharnazim. Close to a thousand of these warriors surround their Zahkan.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:43:42 PM)
Your psychic senses scream at you when you try to probe the Zahkan's defenses. The orb he carries is given him deadly power, more power than you have yet encountered in the whole of your adventures, second only perhaps to Darklords Zagarna or Gnaag.
Silent Wolf says: (8:43:45 PM)
I grit my teeth, already sure of where this is going.
Zipp Dementia says: (8:44:46 PM)
"When the child came of age they were given a choice," the Zahkan continues. "Kill their pet, or kill their horse. To kill their horse meant death, for you would then have no passage across the sands. If you did not choose, then the elders would bash your head in with a stone. Most choose. And in choosing, they locked themselves not only into a much more meaningful relationship with their...
Zipp Dementia says: (8:45:06 PM)
... steed, but also with death itself. Often, their first kill was something precious to them."
Zipp Dementia says: (8:45:45 PM)
"I offer you an easier choice," Kimah says. "Two men, not even brethren. Just riders who were willing to die for you anyway. Surely it is not hard to offer one life?"
Silent Wolf says: (8:53:07 PM)
(would "Balls" be an appropriate term to use in this setting? or some equivilent. . )
Zipp Dementia says: (8:53:38 PM)
(probably)
Silent Wolf says: (8:57:00 PM)
(im typing!)
Zipp Dementia says: (8:57:02 PM)
(ha ha, I don't think I've ever put you in such a nasty position)
Silent Wolf says: (8:57:15 PM)
(yeah i hate you so much right now)
Zipp Dementia says: (8:57:34 PM)
(I'll have to remember this one for Mouse Guard, or maybe Culling of the Kai)
Silent Wolf says: (8:57:50 PM)
(this is one of those delemias i always hate)
Silent Wolf says: (8:58:04 PM)
(that and my poor spelling, which is why im typing my responses in word now)
Silent Wolf says: (8:58:23 PM)
"You're a sick bastard, Kimah." I spit. I try to lift my gaze to see the man more clearly, sucking in my breath as my neck moves. I see Altan and Alen - two men I hardly know, this is true - but how can I choose between them? I feel tightness in my chest as I look at the two of them. Neither should die! My mind screams, "You just don't have the balls to face me”
He’s going to do it, I can already feel the guilt rising within me – if I don’t choose he’s going to kill them both. I don’t need Kai senses o know that – we’re all doomed anyways, unless some miracle saves us. How can I choose? Altan just saved us all, his aim was true and made our mission succesfull –but now he is defenseless without his bow, this close . . . Alen, he’s good with a blade, close in . . . but what good does it do us now?
Zipp Dementia says: (8:58:23 PM)
(I figured you were. I don't see the "I'm typing" message any more)
Silent Wolf says: (8:58:51 PM)
(see if the two of them say anything or do anything. . . )
Silent Wolf says: (8:58:59 PM)
(this is so evil god i hate you)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:00:16 PM)
Altan and Alen seem frozen by fear. Alen coughs blood onto the sand. You wish you could believe it was from a fatal wound, but it is merely the bleeding of cuts on his face that has dripped into his mouth. Altan has his eyes closed and is whispering a Lyrian prayer under his breath.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:06:43 PM)
(ha ha ha)
Silent Wolf says: (9:07:06 PM)
(-_- you're enjoying this more than Khima. Sick bastard)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:09:07 PM)
(I mean, there's only so much I can do with Zadragons)
Silent Wolf says: (9:09:11 PM)
I want to scream but cannot find my voice – this is exactly what he wants! I can’t give in to his desires; I can’t show how much this is destroying me. Your silence will only kill them both, a voice in my head chimes in, and you’ll be responsible for both of their deaths. I close my eyes, feeling a wetness brimming around their edges. You choose. This is on you. My mouth doesn't move, I can't find any words. I move my arm - can I do this? If you choose you'll be a monster yourself, how can you live with yourself? I can't look . . . all I see is their faces. My hand moves . . .
Silent Wolf says: (9:09:35 PM)
(you were typing something?)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:09:58 PM)
The Zahkan's smile remains on his face, cold as the icy wastes of Kalte.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:15:34 PM)
(did you commit suicide?)
Silent Wolf says: (9:15:48 PM)
(yeah something like that)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:15:52 PM)
(you quit!)
Silent Wolf says: (9:16:01 PM)
(no! I'm typing in word)
Silent Wolf says: (9:16:19 PM)
(its just taking me forever becasuse you put these horrible situations on me!)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:16:19 PM)
(yeah I know... it's hard to get used to not seeing that typing message down below)
Silent Wolf says: (9:16:43 PM)
(hopefully it will improve my atrocious spelling)
Silent Wolf says: (9:23:22 PM)
I want to scream but cannot find my voice – this is exactly what he wants! I can’t give in to his desires; I can’t show how much this is destroying me. Your silence will only kill them both, a voice in my head chimes in, and you’ll be responsible for both of their deaths. I close my eyes, feeling a wetness brimming around their edges. You choose. This is on you. My hand falls to the ground, as does my gaze "Kai forgive me," I whisper, barely audible, “I’m sorry” I had ever so briefly pointed towards Altan, before I had given up. I can’t look up.
Silent Wolf says: (9:23:33 PM)
(god that was [fudgeing] hard to type you're such a [thingy])
Zipp Dementia says: (9:25:09 PM)
(I imagine that you are choosing Altan to die?)
Silent Wolf says: (9:25:48 PM)
(if thats how you read that.)
Silent Wolf says: (9:26:26 PM)
(im going to go smothermyself in kittens now)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:27:42 PM)
Some prescience causes Altan to raise his head and see your finger pointing at him. You'll never know what look it is that crosses his face, for you cannot watch as Kimah raises his orb. Altan catches fire spontaneously, a mad cry escaping his lips. The archer whose shot saved the entire kingdom now has his life snuffed out as surely as if you had drawn the sword across his neck yourself.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:27:55 PM)
Never again will his legendary archer's hand draw back the string of a bow.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:28:42 PM)
It takes Altan several minutes to die. The fire has curled his skin black and eaten into his muscle before he finally collapses on the ground and his screams fade away.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:28:53 PM)
(I'll let you take next post before Kimah goes again)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:31:32 PM)
(going to get some water, will return)(
Silent Wolf says: (9:34:59 PM)
Somewhere inside I feel something, rather a lack of something. Even as the heat of the orb flares, I feel cold. I could see it all at the edge of my vision, was that because of me? Had I selected Altan? Why. . . how? How could I have done such a thing. . . instead of finding an answer my mind goes deathly silent. I watch the fire although I can't remember lifting my head.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:36:05 PM)
"Chil," the Zahkan says. "The Sword."
Zipp Dementia says: (9:36:51 PM)
Chil holds out the Sommerswerd towards the Zahkan. Though it is still sheathed, you can see that the senator's hands are blistered and bleeding. Even through the leather sheathe, the sword knows this is no Kai.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:37:12 PM)
(brb; feel free to type a response)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:41:30 PM)
(back; are you typing, or should I?)
Silent Wolf says: (9:41:34 PM)
"Don't do it," I whisper I raise my head , trying to catch the senator's gaze with my own. I can feel the wettness running down my checks as I do so, "Don't give him the sword," I plead.
Silent Wolf says: (9:41:36 PM)
I was typing
Zipp Dementia says: (9:42:37 PM)
Chil looks at you as you speak and you see fear take over his whole face. The Senator is regretting his betratyal of you at the Cauldron's lip and he is regretting his position now, but there is nothing he can do.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:43:46 PM)
"Now the North will fall," the Zahkan says quielty. He grabs the hilt of the Sommerswerd and pulls it free of the scabbard.
Silent Wolf says: (9:44:17 PM)
"No!" I scream, trying once again to rush forward.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:44:51 PM)
Flame erupts along the blade, as it did so many years ago when you pointed it at the Darklord Zagarna. It is not the simple fire of a torch. It is a funnel of fire, whirling around the blade like a tornado, shifting down over the Zahkan's arm and up his shoudler towards his neck.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:46:30 PM)
The black orb burns with its own blue flame and then there is a loud crack. It is a sound like the bones of the gods breaking. The very skies respond to the breaking of the Sommerswerd, dark clouds rushing in from the horizons to block out any remnant of the sun, a cold wind blasting away the wisps of smoke and putting out the flame forever on the Sword of the Sun.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:47:09 PM)
The Zahkan throws the blade, now a dull grey iron sword pitted with age and wear, onto the ground in front of you.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:47:40 PM)
Then suddenly he moans and drops to one knee, drained by his exertion. In that instant, the chains around you falter and die.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:47:50 PM)
(take -2 END for having thrust yourself against them earlier)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:48:02 PM)
But you are now free.
Silent Wolf says: (9:51:07 PM)
(free and still surrounded by people who want me dead! Yippie!)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:52:31 PM)
You are also still wearing the psychic ring. Freed from the orb's chain and with the Zahkan's psychic shield gone, your ring now amplifies your anger and sorrow, channeling it into a psychic power far beyond anything you've ever known. You have the ability to tackle the Zahkan in his own mind, in a battle that will transcend time and the physical plane.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:53:03 PM)
Or! You have other options too.
Silent Wolf says: (9:53:03 PM)
I reach forward and gently touch the hilt of the sword. I wince in pain as my finger tips touch the smoldering hilt (hope that amulet takes some of the brunt for this stupid RP moment)- The blackened blade a testament to the void that has taken residence within me. This can’t be happening, I think, this can’t be! I look up, back at the Zhakan. (more coming now)
Silent Wolf says: (9:53:11 PM)
(ok type away)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:53:42 PM)
A voice speaks in your head, a voice you have never heard before.
Silent Wolf says: (9:53:47 PM)
(I'll hear what you have to say before I launch into a RAGGGEEEEE)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:54:07 PM)
"The arrows, Lone Wolf," it says. "One of them has the power to destroy the orb."
Silent Wolf says: (9:55:37 PM)
"Which one?" I speak the words aloud, even as I send the thought back to the voice, "please" I can feel myself shaking.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:57:30 PM)
"The one will pierce, the other will turn back on its user," the voice says and then is suddenly cut short. The connection has been broken. Around you, the Sharnazim are beginning to stir, but all seem terrified by something new that is occuring.
Silent Wolf says: (9:58:14 PM)
(so basically one arrow will destroy the orb, the other wil kill me? oh joy)
Zipp Dementia says: (9:59:02 PM)
From Kimah's hand, the one that held the Sommerswerd and now touches the dirt ground, a torrent of black is beginning to creep about the land. It spreads from his fingers outward towards the edges of the circle. It carries with it a wave of fear that pushes back his soldiers. The Zahkan raises his head and stares at you with open mouth, his eyes empty sockets where a mist of darkness pools.
Zipp Dementia says: (9:59:50 PM)
He has been cursed for the grandeur of his crime in breaking the Sommerswerd, but the orb in his right hand keeps him alive, a powerful minion of the Darklord Gnaag.
Silent Wolf says: (10:00:09 PM)
(brb a moment)
Silent Wolf says: (10:01:47 PM)
(so in other words its just me an him now?)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:01:56 PM)
(effectively, yes)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:02:15 PM)
But he's got CS 34, so taking him on in a straight up fight might be... difficult
Silent Wolf says: (10:02:27 PM)
(i must resist the poetic justice of picking up the husk of the summerswerd and bashing is face in with it)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:02:38 PM)
Your bag is nearby, though, you do have time to drink potions before you fight, if you choose that route
Zipp Dementia says: (10:02:58 PM)
You can also tackle him with your mind or take him on for an instant kill with the arrow... if you choose the right arrow, you won't even have to roll
Zipp Dementia says: (10:03:04 PM)
Choose the wrong arrow, and it's death.
Silent Wolf says: (10:03:14 PM)
grumble grumble
Silent Wolf says: (10:03:30 PM)
I have an idea which arrow it would be but instant death . . . is a 50% chance -_-
Zipp Dementia says: (10:03:40 PM)
And the magic running rampant through here prevents you from using your hourglass
Silent Wolf says: (10:03:51 PM)
Keep my mind over matter on that hourglass and if the orb doesnt explose imediatly tip it.
Silent Wolf says: (10:03:55 PM)
[fudge]
Silent Wolf says: (10:03:59 PM)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:04:17 PM)
Immaheadofyou
Zipp Dementia says: (10:04:38 PM)
This is the most vicious section you'll have yet faced
Zipp Dementia says: (10:04:52 PM)
The choice is yours
Silent Wolf says: (10:04:54 PM)
I bet its the red arrow. . . but then you could be a jerk and its the blue. Red makes the most sense, as it seems to be opposits that blow each other up. Unless its blue has power over red. Urgh.
Silent Wolf says: (10:05:33 PM)
I see your massive descent grin right now and it makes me rage
Zipp Dementia says: (10:06:17 PM)
Actually, my face is open mouthed awe
Zipp Dementia says: (10:06:20 PM)
At my own genius
Silent Wolf says: (10:06:32 PM)
cocky jerk.
Zipp Dementia says: (10:06:38 PM)
Now I'm grinning
Zipp Dementia says: (10:06:54 PM)
Seriously, this is pretty epic
Zipp Dementia says: (10:06:57 PM)
I'm enjoying the hell out of this
Silent Wolf says: (10:09:57 PM)
I find myself holding onto my bag, the laumspure already in my hand - was that the power of the ring? I wanted the bag and here it was. I notice they are already empty and I feel my wounds closing - did I drink them? I stand up, wiping my face my eyes meet the Zahkan's, my face asexpressionless. I feel nothing as I look into his dark eyes. No hatred, no anger, just a void. Despite this, my mind is set on one thing and one thing alone - Zahkan Khima must die. (brb have to peeeee)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:10:54 PM)
(are you going for the arrow?)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:11:03 PM)
(are you going for hand to hand combat?)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:11:18 PM)
(are you going for psychic combat?)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:11:37 PM)
(Psychic combat will also benefit from Alether, in this case, because of the ring)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:11:52 PM)
(oh wait)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:11:55 PM)
(no it won't)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:12:05 PM)
(It's an entirely different kind of battle, different stats and everything)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:12:12 PM)
(silly me, I'd even written that note to myself)
Silent Wolf says: (10:13:04 PM)
(silly yo u indeed)
Silent Wolf says: (10:13:35 PM)
(you. . hate. . .urgh)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:13:50 PM)
Let me lay out your choices more clearly.
Silent Wolf says: (10:13:54 PM)
(i'm like 90% sure that its the red arrow. but then you'll [fudge] with me and be like "nope you're dead)
Silent Wolf says: (10:14:06 PM)
(and ill be like "you're joking. . ."_
Silent Wolf says: (10:14:16 PM)
(and you'll be like, nopy you're acutally dead)
Silent Wolf says: (10:14:19 PM)
(and ill laugh)
Silent Wolf says: (10:14:23 PM)
(and you wont)
Silent Wolf says: (10:14:26 PM)
(and then ill cry)
Silent Wolf says: (10:14:36 PM)
(anyways options?)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:14:52 PM)
The arrow is a 50% chance of success. Instant success if you choose right. Instant death if you're wrong. No two ways about it. Adventure done. Lone Wolf dead. Moving on to another character.
Zipp Dementia says: (10:15:03 PM)
So it's the gamble option.
Silent Wolf says: (10:15:08 PM)
yep.
Silent Wolf says: (10:15:15 PM)
and i really dont want to play another chacter
Silent Wolf says: (10:15:18 PM)
i kinda like this one
Zipp Dementia says: (10:16:57 PM)
You can take on Zahkan Kimah in a hand-to-hand fight. That's going to give you all your usual bonuses, plus I'm sure you'll drink the alether and gain your heightened bonus for that. Laumspur will bring you to 26 END. This is a very straightforward way of doing it. Kimah has a high CS, though. 34 CS and 40 END. Like any combat, it's going to rely on good rolls and actions to...
Zipp Dementia says: (10:17:08 PM)
... win.
Zipp Dementia says: (10:18:30 PM)
Finally, psychic combat will put you on the most even ground, but it leaves little leeway for poor rolls. It will be a quick combat, essentially based on how well you roll. To summarize, you won't have to roll as well as you would in straight up fighting, but you'll have less options, too.
Zipp Dementia says: (10:18:58 PM)
To summarize, the way that's the least gamble, which is fighting barehanded, is also the one where statistics are most stacked against you.
Zipp Dementia says: (10:19:07 PM)
Because of his high life and CS.
Silent Wolf says: (10:19:14 PM)
(barehanded? not even typhoon?)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:19:14 PM)
(not barehanded)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:19:19 PM)
(I meant hand to hand)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:19:32 PM)
(my bad)
Silent Wolf says: (10:19:36 PM)
(what ws the CS/END of the three drakkam i fought?)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:19:53 PM)
Cs 30
Zipp Dementia says: (10:20:02 PM)
ENd 42
Zipp Dementia says: (10:20:15 PM)
And you almost died
Zipp Dementia says: (10:20:40 PM)
You rolled, like, five 8's or 9's
Silent Wolf says: (10:20:48 PM)
(and i rolled rediculously well. but with using the ring i dont gain any bonses to CS?)
Silent Wolf says: (10:21:04 PM)
(so how is that better exactly im confused)
Silent Wolf says: (10:21:31 PM)
(hey I have 5 gold!)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:21:41 PM)
(uh, yay?)
Silent Wolf says: (10:21:47 PM)
(i cant stop lauhing now >.<)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:22:01 PM)
(that's just post traumatic stress syndrome)
Silent Wolf says: (10:22:09 PM)
(buried in the mess of my combat sheet is "Purse: 5/2")
Silent Wolf says: (10:22:16 PM)
5/20*
Zipp Dementia says: (10:22:35 PM)
The Ring will give you both END 10 and a CS of -5
Zipp Dementia says: (10:22:39 PM)
CR of -5
Silent Wolf says: (10:22:54 PM)
ah
Zipp Dementia says: (10:22:57 PM)
So it'll be fast
Zipp Dementia says: (10:23:01 PM)
But also up to luck
Silent Wolf says: (10:23:02 PM)
so its basically keep rolling above a 5 of your fucked
Silent Wolf says: (10:23:07 PM)
or*
Zipp Dementia says: (10:23:22 PM)
you could roll a few combinations of numbers
Zipp Dementia says: (10:23:35 PM)
But yes, it's less of a gamble than the arrow
Zipp Dementia says: (10:23:41 PM)
But it's still a gamble
Zipp Dementia says: (10:23:49 PM)
Of course, everything's a gamble now
Zipp Dementia says: (10:24:50 PM)
I leave you to decide
Zipp Dementia says: (10:25:00 PM)
I'll be back. You have five minutes.
Silent Wolf says: (10:25:08 PM)
grumble
Silent Wolf says: (10:29:58 PM)
On my feet I stare across the field at my foe. The emptiness inside my burning with power - he must die - I feel the meaning of these words though I do not think them. I muster my will focusing on his exposed mind. I stare into his eyes and press my will against his - you will die I command letting the power of my psychic abilities mingle with the band wrapped around my finger. My will and desire for vengeance is strong, he will feel it – he same mental trauma he has wracked against me will be revisited on him as I destroy his mind.
Zipp Dementia says: (10:32:28 PM)
(alright! I will be right back, have to clean up a spill)
Silent Wolf says: (10:32:38 PM)
*you had it coming)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:39:30 PM)
Nah, it wasn't me
Zipp Dementia says: (10:39:34 PM)
It was someone else's spill
Zipp Dementia says: (10:39:37 PM)
But they had to run
Zipp Dementia says: (10:39:40 PM)
So there!
Zipp Dementia says: (10:39:50 PM)
Let's see if Kimah has it coming, though
Zipp Dementia says: (10:41:14 PM)
The world around you fades, replaced by a swirling darkness. On this darkness you envision a platform and your mind makes it so. A thin gold circle forms out of the nothingness and on it you, too, form, a figure bathed in red light, pulling red from the darkness and attracting it to your form.
Zipp Dementia says: (10:41:38 PM)
Another figure also stands on the circle, made of blue light, pulling blue from the darkness and forming it into energy in its hands.
Silent Wolf says: (10:41:47 PM)
(it was totally the red arrow)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:41:50 PM)
(no!
Zipp Dementia says: (10:41:55 PM)
(It was the blue arrow!)
Silent Wolf says: (10:42:01 PM)
(pfft)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:42:04 PM)
(Red is attracted to you)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:42:37 PM)
Suddenly, the blue figure extends its hands and light flies at you, threatening to tear your form apart.
Zipp Dementia says: (10:42:48 PM)
Make your reaction and roll. This is now pure psychic combat
Silent Wolf says: (10:46:58 PM)
(this is one of those instances where i see the combat so typing it is hard. yeay for visiaul thinking!)
Silent Wolf says: (10:48:36 PM)
(off to a good start 9) I move my psychic embodyment to the side, a cold determination flickering across its face as makes to doge the attack, searching for a weakness in Khima to exploit.
Silent Wolf says: (10:48:40 PM)
(meh)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:52:50 PM)
For a moment you wonder if you are cheating; things seem so much easier here. Kimah's form moves slowly whereas you are just a thought, willing yourself to be where you need to be. It is no effort at all to appear behind Kimah and drive your hand through the chest of Kimah's avatar, finding the source of his power, your hand closing around the orb that sits in the middle of the blue, like an...
Zipp Dementia says: (10:52:52 PM)
... island in mist.
Silent Wolf says: (10:53:02 PM)
(brb phone
)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:53:30 PM)
(Kimah is at 1 END, you are at full)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:53:41 PM)
(sorry, 2 END)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:53:59 PM)
(watch you roll two 1's)
Zipp Dementia says: (10:54:42 PM)
(if you die here, I have an intense game-changing ending planned)
Silent Wolf says: (11:00:26 PM)
(by full end do you mean 26 or 5?)
Zipp Dementia says: (11:00:35 PM)
I mean 10
Silent Wolf says: (11:00:49 PM)
(oh, thought that was CS. DAMN REALLY 8?!)
Silent Wolf says: (11:02:15 PM)
I reach for the orb, I will pull it from his chest leaving nothing but an empty void. May he be lost in it for eternity. (urgh 3)
Zipp Dementia says: (11:04:46 PM)
The orb does not wish to be extracted from the only thing giving it power, the strong soul of the Zhakan. It tears at your avatar and you can feel the tear as if you had a real body still. Hornets crawl inside your blood stream, stinging you from the inside out, ripping fangs into your arteries, pulling their way out of your body. You can feel them behind your eyes, buzzing angrily and....
Zipp Dementia says: (11:04:59 PM)
... waving insectoid legs in a mad dance to pierce the soft flesh of your vision.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:05:32 PM)
Then the pain breaks, the orb is free, and the Zahkan's avatar drifts apart, his mind trapped in this dark plane.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:06:21 PM)
As you watch him go, holding the orb, you suddenly realize that your body, too, is breaking up. You do not feel panic, however.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:07:28 PM)
Inside this darkness lies a peace you have not known since the death of your mentors. Here there is no death. There is not the body of Altan, laying burnt upon the field of battle. There is not Alen, to know your shame, that you chose a life.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:07:57 PM)
The armies of Gnaag do not crowd the gates of Tahou here and the Sommerswerd does not lie as a broken hope.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:08:25 PM)
"You could stay here, yes," the voice that told you about the arrows says. You turn and see a golden light floating towards you.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:09:13 PM)
"You have earned peace," the voice continues. "The gods will not consider it cowardice to stay here forever. After all, it was so hopeless anyway, that you would survive this fight."
Silent Wolf says: (11:15:59 PM)
(this may be several posts, this next one is not me decidign to stay!)
Zipp Dementia says: (11:16:06 PM)
(okay)
Silent Wolf says: (11:17:01 PM)
I watch the light in front of me, "Peace," I say the word, it sounds forging on my tongue. Yes, I think, peace would be nice. I look down at what should be my hands – they look whole here. No scars, no blood. How I had lounged for peace, a chance to rest, rest without waking only to face more battle, more pain. I close my eyes and take in a breath.
Silent Wolf says: (11:17:49 PM)
"Have I failed?" I ask the light, the image of the broken sword burned into my vision even here.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:19:09 PM)
(brb talking to mom)
Zipp Dementia says: (11:31:09 PM)
(sorry about that)
Zipp Dementia says: (11:31:15 PM)
(Mom had a rough day)
Silent Wolf says: (11:31:25 PM)
(
she ok?)
Zipp Dementia says: (11:31:31 PM)
(yeah, just fragile tonight)
Silent Wolf says: (11:32:03 PM)
(I send hr MSN hugs! pass it along for me)
Zipp Dementia says: (11:32:11 PM)
"Failure is an odd word," the voice answers. "What was your goal?"
Silent Wolf says: (11:34:15 PM)
I hesitate, what is my goal? "To stop the darkness," it is as much a question as a statement.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:35:03 PM)
"Ha, you take on a hefty goal. Let me ask you this. Would you feel like you had failed if you stay here? Because if you choose to stay here and you'd feel that way, you'll be here for a very very long time with that feeling."
Silent Wolf says: (11:38:55 PM)
I look away from the light, it speaks the truth. "The summerswerd is destroyed," I say after a long silence. "I've managed to lose our greatest weapon against the dark"
Zipp Dementia says: (11:42:29 PM)
"The sommerswerd is just a sword," the voice says. "It took a brave hand to wield it. You are the greatest weapon against the Darklords. And you are not yet lost."
Silent Wolf says: (11:52:31 PM)
I look back towards the voice. Its words do little to comfort the hopelessness I've felt edging into my heart over the years. I effectivly killed a friend and hero, lost one of the greatest relics of my order, possibly the world, not to mention all the countless other failures - the friend's I've watched die or be taken away. "I've never asked anything of you before," I say at last as my hand wonders near my heart, "but I do not wish to stay here" I cannot give up on them, I think, my hand clenching around the amulet I've never removed, "I can't give up now," I add, "there is nothing for me here," with this peace comes lonleyness and regret, I cannot bear an eternty of that.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:56:39 PM)
"In that case, take my hand," the light says and suddenly you feel yourself lifted from the darkness and back into the world of pain, suffering, and regret.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:57:02 PM)
"But it is also a world of hope, now that you've returned," Tyrenis says, pulling the psychic ring off of your finger.
Zipp Dementia says: (11:58:47 PM)
You sit in the center of a black crater. Zahkan Kimah still stands in front of you, his hands still holding the orb, his mouth slackjawed and his eyes still pools of darkness.
Silent Wolf says: (12:02:21 AM)
I blink at Tyrenis, then glance down at my now naked hand. It was him, I think, that is why he came, "Thank you," I whisper still unable to speak. The feeling of peace is subsiding, replaced a dull numbness. Noticing Kimah I get to my feet, "What has become of him?" I ask the boy.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:03:57 AM)
Tyrenis glances behind him, his look characteristically neutral.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:04:18 AM)
"The spirit is gone and the mind locked away," he says. "But the husk is still a husk of evil and should be destroyed."
Silent Wolf says: (12:05:13 AM)
I nod in agreement, walking to the spot where the remains of the summerswerd lay. I pick up the dull blade, (is it still intack enough to finish him off?)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:08:00 AM)
The blade feels so heavy in your hands now. It will break upon its next blow, you can feel that. But it just might be enough.
Silent Wolf says: (12:10:33 AM)
I look down at the blade, feeling pangs of guilt - "there is no way to repair it, is there?" I askTyrenis as I run my hand gingerly along the flat of the blade - so many memories.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:11:59 AM)
"No," Tyrenis says. You are a little surprised by the bluntness in his voice. There is no sympathy waiting for you there.
Silent Wolf says: (12:16:14 AM)
Without another word I turn back to Kimah and drive the blade into his heart. I take meaning as the blade breaks against his hollow husk - it is the end of the sword of the sun, and while the world may have hope again, I feel my own break with the blade. Back here in this world, I may never again know the peace I gave up.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:17:07 AM)
At the very moment of his death, the shimmering web of energy that encases the Zakhan's body flares with a scarlet brilliance so intense that you are forced to avert your eyes for fear of it blinding you. The light surges and fades, leaving behind a mound of glowing fragments that crumble and dissolve noisily until all that remains of the Zakhan and the Orb of Death is a dark stain on the earth...
Zipp Dementia says: (12:17:12 AM)
... where they fell.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:18:33 AM)
Spurred on by your triumph, the Anarian defenders rally themselves and counter-attack to secure the West Gate. The Vassagonians who gained entry are either killed or forced back into the moat as the gate is quickly retaken. A cheer resounds from the city wall, a cheer that becomes a chant carrying word of Kimah's demise to the enemy beyond the trenches.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:18:58 AM)
Gradually the advancing legions slow to a halt as their hope of an easy victory dies. Officers ride to and fro, cursing and threatening their men with all manner of punishment, but their morale is severely shaken; the ranks of armoured warriors merely stand in shocked silence and refuse to advance.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:19:10 AM)
The sound of distant trumpets is heard and all eyes turn to the south to see wave upon wave of mounted warriors emerging from the hills around Varta. They pour from every valley and pass to fill the southern flats with regiments of horsemen resplendent in uniforms of blue, white and grey.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:21:49 AM)
(more coming)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:23:31 AM)
By the time all of this has transpired, you have made your way back to the city and are watching the aftermath of the battle from the city walls.
The following message could not be delivered:
By the time all of this has transpired, you have made your way back to the city and are watching the aftermath of the battle from the city walls.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:25:35 AM)
There you are!
Zipp Dementia says: (12:25:38 AM)
You missed a lot
Silent Wolf says: (12:25:40 AM)
(thats never happened before - my computer died)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:25:50 AM)
Ooo not good T_T
Zipp Dementia says: (12:26:02 AM)
What was the last thing you saw?
Silent Wolf says: (12:26:07 AM)
(yeah, i may have to replace some bits)
Silent Wolf says: (12:26:11 AM)
Zipp Dementia: The sound of distant trumpets is heard and all eyes turn to the south to see wave upon wave of mounted warriors emerging from the hills around Varta. They pour from every valley and pass to fill the southern flats with regiments of horsemen resplendent in uniforms of blue, white and grey.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:26:20 AM)
By the time all of this has transpired, you have made your way back to the city and are watching the aftermath of the battle from the city walls.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:26:41 AM)
"Our prayers have been answered," says Chiban, as he and Banedon rejoin you at the city wall. "Behold, the allies of Anari have come to aid us in our darkest hour." He points to the advancing cavalry and you recognize, fluttering from their lances, the battle standards of three countries: Firalond, Lourden, and Kakush.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:27:17 AM)
Then the thunder of their horses' hooves fills the air and a wave surges down your spine as you witness their first charge devastate the enemy's ranks, throwing them into chaos and confusion. A great battle ensues as the enemy slowly gather themselves to resist this unexpected assault. By noon two of their armies have been smashed and routed, and the third fights a desperate rearguard action...
Zipp Dementia says: (12:27:26 AM)
... as it covers the chaotic retreat westwards.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:27:56 AM)
At last the fighting around the city comes to an end, and the defenders give voice to their elation that their home has been saved from the hordes of Darklord Gnaag.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:28:45 AM)
That is more or less the end of this adventure. There are many loose ends to be tied up, however. I know it's late, but if you will bear with me for a moment, I will cover some of them.
Silent Wolf says: (12:28:58 AM)
(im good)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:29:02 AM)
(okay!)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:29:55 AM)
Of Ravine... the Senator lived through the charge and was not captured by the Vassagonians after the explosion. Indeed, he rode hard to meet the Anarian allies and led them to the enemy's flank.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:30:47 AM)
He returns to his city a hero, and the last of the Senators. He is made president of the Senate and given the task of choosing a new Senate from the remaining officials of the city. Gwynian and Chiban both gain a seat.
Silent Wolf says: (12:31:27 AM)
(didnt Gwynian think he wouldnt live?)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:31:43 AM)
(Ravine or himself?)
Silent Wolf says: (12:31:48 AM)
(himself)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:32:00 AM)
(no, his stars have not yet passed)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:32:51 AM)
Alen, whose life you chose instead of Altan's, also finds a place within the city. For his bravery during the attacks, he is given a pension and offered a permanent place as a captain in the guard. His mercenary days have finally come to an end.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:32:53 AM)
Altan
Silent Wolf says: (12:33:44 AM)
(here i "chose" alen cause Atlan didn't have a weapon, BAH)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:35:05 AM)
Nothing remains of Altan except the broken halves of the Silver Bow of Duadon, recovered from the front. The bow's remains are sent to his family in the Stornlands, a noble household, where they are displayed. Eventually the broken bow becomes the symbol of his clan and his ancestors will display it for many centuries to come.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:36:49 AM)
Tyrenis keeps the psychic ring. The thieves quadrant was one of the first destroyed in the attacks. Whether Magharna, Sogh's master, lives or not you never discover. The ring, Tyrenis warns you when you ask of it, can never be worn by you again.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:37:27 AM)
"You came too close to that dark place," he says. "If you were to put it on again, it would drag you deep into it and this time there would be no convincing you to leave."
Zipp Dementia says: (12:38:40 AM)
Senator Chil has fled or been killed during the battle. His remains are not discovered, but so many liter the dead that the Western hills become renamed, the Hills of the Dead. Blood feeds their grasses for an entire year. If Chil's blood is some of that, then it is only justice, you think.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:40:43 AM)
Of Moon Dancer there is no sign. The mysterious woman rode back to the gates, where the Kraan following her party was shot and killed. Then she led another charge into the trenches. That was the last that was seen of her. The men she rode with said she dismounted when her horse was cut down and that she leapt into the enemies fearlessly. They continued to ride and saw no sign of her afterward
Silent Wolf says: (12:41:10 AM)
(damn i wanted to talk to her)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:41:30 AM)
Something tells you that she is still alive. Perhaps one day you may yet again see her.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:43:36 AM)
As for Banedon, your lover seems to have aged twenty years in the time since the charge began. You expect the first night after the battle to be one of restoration and a peaceful celebration of victory, a passionate jubilation at the very fact that you have lived to fight at least one more day.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:43:50 AM)
Instead, Banedon carried grim news.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:44:30 AM)
"It is a message from Gnaag," he says. "The last three Drakkarim that were brought in as captives were saying it over and over, as if they were insane. Gnaag is sending us a sign."
Zipp Dementia says: (12:45:27 AM)
"The lorestones is what they keep saying. We have the last three lorestones."
Zipp Dementia says: (12:45:41 AM)
And I think that's an appropriate spot to end.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:45:46 AM)
Is there anything I didn't cover?
Silent Wolf says: (12:45:54 AM)
/ponder
Silent Wolf says: (12:46:10 AM)
I think that was everyone.
Silent Wolf says: (12:46:17 AM)
Felt like the end of DA <.<
Silent Wolf says: (12:46:30 AM)
listing off everyone's ending haha
Silent Wolf says: (12:46:37 AM)
man heavy session
Zipp Dementia says: (12:46:58 AM)
YEah, that was
Zipp Dementia says: (12:47:00 AM)
5 hours
Zipp Dementia says: (12:47:04 AM)
Some slow downs, admittedly
Zipp Dementia says: (12:47:07 AM)
But still
Zipp Dementia says: (12:47:15 AM)
I never finished DA >_>
Silent Wolf says: (12:47:24 AM)
i had imagined LW coming back very gloomy, probably just wanting to be left a lone for some time. Then I think she felt a little better after watching the victory, then you smash her moment of happyness.
Silent Wolf says: (12:48:44 AM)
One of these days she's going to murder Tyrenis for bringing her back (although I dotn think she would have stayed anyways)
Zipp Dementia says: (12:48:59 AM)
Ha ha
Zipp Dementia says: (12:49:07 AM)
I was glad I was able to work Tyrenis in
Silent Wolf says: (12:49:14 AM)
yeah it was well done
Zipp Dementia says: (12:49:16 AM)
I knew he'd come in handy at some point
Zipp Dementia says: (12:49:29 AM)
I was pretty much improvising tonight's section
Zipp Dementia says: (12:49:56 AM)
With some help in description from Dever
Silent Wolf says: (12:50:06 AM)
I really dont think LW would have wanted to stay either way. She's too determined to finish waht she started, and she still has a bit of hope for herself left. Its a bit shaky right now but its there.
Silent Wolf says: (12:50:39 AM)
god that first bit with kimah you destroyed us both
Silent Wolf says: (12:52:52 AM)
still a good game really
Zipp Dementia says: (12:53:33 AM)
You know, some of these BIG BADDIES that Dever describes... they just don't seem to be summed up well by STATS
Zipp Dementia says: (12:53:43 AM)
So I've been trying to make them stand out in other ways
Silent Wolf says: (12:53:55 AM)
god that one was nasty
Zipp Dementia says: (12:54:18 AM)
I mean, in the original books, there were all these fights like this, 34 CS 40 END, which just happen and you die alot and you start over and one day you beat it and that leaves an impression, because it's so bitching hard.
Silent Wolf says: (12:54:34 AM)
its like that ethics problem - do you passivly watch three people die, or activly kill one to save the otehr three.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:54:53 AM)
But with us, it's such a one-shot deal that I can't just have you fight a bunch of times. So yeah, I have to turn to Sophie's Choice to make it memorable.
Silent Wolf says: (12:55:10 AM)
well that one worked
Zipp Dementia says: (12:55:23 AM)
Yeah, it came to me this morning as a good idea
Zipp Dementia says: (12:55:27 AM)
So I went with it
Zipp Dementia says: (12:56:03 AM)
Well, sometime after Kiwanis, we can start book 10
Silent Wolf says: (12:56:10 AM)
'kay
Zipp Dementia says: (12:56:15 AM)
Book 10 is going to be easier on me
Zipp Dementia says: (12:56:19 AM)
It's one of Dever's best
Zipp Dementia says: (12:56:26 AM)
And there's little or nothing that needs changing
Silent Wolf says: (12:56:33 AM)
ah
Zipp Dementia says: (12:56:50 AM)
It's one of the least linear, in that there's plenty of paths, really three adventures in one book. so your choices decide which adventure you have
Silent Wolf says: (12:56:51 AM)
man i have all these thoughts over how she's going to be changed by all this.
Zipp Dementia says: (12:56:58 AM)
Either way, you'll miss out on two adventures
Silent Wolf says: (12:57:07 AM)
saddness
Silent Wolf says: (12:58:16 AM)
ah i could really feel her breaking tonight it was so hard
Silent Wolf says: (12:58:20 AM)
hehee
Silent Wolf says: (12:58:24 AM)
still all crazed by that
Zipp Dementia says: (12:58:42 AM)
Yeah, she had an intense section during that
Zipp Dementia says: (12:58:51 AM)
Posts were taking like 10 minutes a piece, lol
Silent Wolf says: (12:58:55 AM)
hahaa
Silent Wolf says: (12:58:57 AM)
im a slow writer
Silent Wolf says: (12:58:59 AM)
>.<
Zipp Dementia says: (12:59:07 AM)
I'm glad you didn't gamble on the arrow
Silent Wolf says: (12:59:14 AM)
me too
Silent Wolf says: (12:59:28 AM)
the psychic fight was pretty nice and it lead to a great ending
Zipp Dementia says: (12:59:35 AM)
Good rolls on that
Silent Wolf says: (12:59:41 AM)
wasnt one a 3?
Zipp Dementia says: (12:59:41 AM)
You got my hint of cheating >
Silent Wolf says: (12:59:44 AM)
hahaa
Silent Wolf says: (12:59:52 AM)
hm
Zipp Dementia says: (12:59:58 AM)
So you wised up and rolled a 3
Silent Wolf says: (1:00:08 AM)
you what?
Zipp Dementia says: (1:00:19 AM)
I waht?
Silent Wolf says: (1:00:28 AM)
you suggested i was cheating?
Silent Wolf says: (1:00:30 AM)
i missed that
Silent Wolf says: (1:00:44 AM)
you hurt me deep
Zipp Dementia says: (1:02:25 AM)
I did!
Zipp Dementia says: (1:02:41 AM)
Something about "this was so easy, she felt like it was cheating"
Silent Wolf says: (1:02:45 AM)
ah
Silent Wolf says: (1:02:56 AM)
that was a hint? im too dense.
Zipp Dementia says: (1:03:03 AM)
Ha ha, I left it subtle
Silent Wolf says: (1:03:03 AM)
i'm not =\
Zipp Dementia says: (1:03:05 AM)
Ha ha
Zipp Dementia says: (1:03:18 AM)
It is always amazing, though!
Zipp Dementia says: (1:03:26 AM)
9's and 8's at all the critical battle points!
Zipp Dementia says: (1:03:28 AM)
It's fun.
Zipp Dementia says: (1:03:35 AM)
LW is a real monster in battle
Silent Wolf says: (1:03:37 AM)
i felt like i was cheating on that fight -_-
Zipp Dementia says: (1:03:54 AM)
Well, it's made the whole game more tense
Silent Wolf says: (1:04:00 AM)
if you didn't notice there were very long pauses between the rolls where i was like "seriously?"
Zipp Dementia says: (1:04:01 AM)
Because I haven't been cutting down on enemy stats
Zipp Dementia says: (1:04:16 AM)
Some of those fights... like the last psychic one was a real toss up
Zipp Dementia says: (1:04:27 AM)
Even with the 9, all it would've taken was a couple of 1's
Zipp Dementia says: (1:04:31 AM)
or a 1 and a 2
Silent Wolf says: (1:04:45 AM)
but i got a 3! yippie
Silent Wolf says: (1:05:08 AM)
i realy must ponder the effects of this on LW. . . urgh
Silent Wolf says: (1:05:28 AM)
I think she needs some time. . .which she wont get. Poor girl.
Zipp Dementia says: (1:06:31 AM)
My guess is she'll become obsessed with having the chance to prove herself a hero even without the Sommerswerd
Zipp Dementia says: (1:06:38 AM)
Well, not a hero
Silent Wolf says: (1:06:49 AM)
I dont think so
Zipp Dementia says: (1:06:50 AM)
But able to beat back the darkness
Zipp Dementia says: (1:07:14 AM)
I mean, it's like when traumatized people throw themselves into their work
Zipp Dementia says: (1:07:19 AM)
Because then they don't have to think
Zipp Dementia says: (1:07:34 AM)
I think the last thing Aleiya wants right now is to be alone with her thoughts
Silent Wolf says: (1:08:43 AM)
I don't think she wants to face the loss - the choice she had to make, murderign one of her companions, or the fact that the summerswerd is now a pile of scrap.
Silent Wolf says: (1:09:14 AM)
She does kind of just want to curl up and cry right now, but she can't - and not in front of anyone thats for sure.
Zipp Dementia says: (1:10:19 AM)
Well, the next mission might just push her over the edge. If you thought this was hard....
Silent Wolf says: (1:10:50 AM)
haha
Silent Wolf says: (1:10:57 AM)
yeah who knows, maybe she'll snap
Silent Wolf says: (1:11:11 AM)
i dont really see it happening - like before she's to determined
Zipp Dementia says: (1:11:21 AM)
She won't snap
Silent Wolf says: (1:11:24 AM)
but take everything she hopes for away and she probaly would.
Zipp Dementia says: (1:11:27 AM)
She might die ^_^
Zipp Dementia says: (1:11:37 AM)
SO she might be snapped IN HALF
Silent Wolf says: (1:11:45 AM)
saddnes
Silent Wolf says: (1:11:52 AM)
and her ghost will come kick Tyrenis' ass
Zipp Dementia says: (1:12:48 AM)
Don't like the little kid, eg?
Silent Wolf says: (1:12:56 AM)
oh i like him just fine
Silent Wolf says: (1:13:20 AM)
but i can blame him for talking me out of staying in blissful oblivian
Zipp Dementia says: (1:13:46 AM)
Yep
Zipp Dementia says: (1:13:52 AM)
He pulled you from the dark piut
Zipp Dementia says: (1:14:01 AM)
Not a good fate for Zahkan Kimah
Silent Wolf says: (1:14:21 AM)
hope that bastard rots
Zipp Dementia says: (1:14:41 AM)
You met him all the way back in book 5!
Silent Wolf says: (1:14:55 AM)
he was a jerk then, and if i recall tried to cheat a darklord
Silent Wolf says: (1:15:41 AM)
"oh yeah we have LW, yep yep, now give me that awesoem weapon. Oh when i said have i really ment had, shes free and running away to freedom right now"
Zipp Dementia says: (1:16:08 AM)
"Thanks for the orb of death, though, if you need me I'll be in my chamber killing virgins"
Silent Wolf says: (1:16:22 AM)
he would too. . .
Silent Wolf says: (1:16:51 AM)
that dude was pretty sick
Silent Wolf says: (1:16:57 AM)
i remember the field of heads on sticks
Zipp Dementia says: (1:17:24 AM)
Yeah
Zipp Dementia says: (1:17:29 AM)
Yeah gross
Zipp Dementia says: (1:17:46 AM)
You work tomorrow?
Silent Wolf says: (1:17:49 AM)
yeah
Zipp Dementia says: (1:17:54 AM)
I'm keeping you up too late
Zipp Dementia says: (1:17:58 AM)
I'm sorry
Silent Wolf says: (1:18:01 AM)
like ima be able to sleep -_-
Zipp Dementia says: (1:18:05 AM)
Ha ha ha
Silent Wolf says: (1:18:14 AM)
pondering what happens in the downtime
Zipp Dementia says: (1:18:20 AM)
Well, you'll probably dream about the next Adventure
Zipp Dementia says: (1:18:26 AM)
It's called the Dungeons of Torgar
Silent Wolf says: (1:18:31 AM)
i usualyl think of what happens in the mean time
Silent Wolf says: (1:18:36 AM)
sort of fill in the blanks we dont RP
Silent Wolf says: (1:18:54 AM)
and ponder where its going next
Silent Wolf says: (1:19:04 AM)
mostly for the characters really
Zipp Dementia says: (1:19:04 AM)
And it will take you here:
Zipp Dementia says: (1:19:05 AM)
www.projectaon.org/en/xhtml/lw/10tdot/map.jpgSilent Wolf says: (1:19:15 AM)

Silent Wolf says: (1:19:34 AM)
let me guess im going solo too
Zipp Dementia says: (1:19:57 AM)
It depends. There are so many ways to go in this book
Zipp Dementia says: (1:20:03 AM)
It's why it's one of everyone's favorites
Silent Wolf says: (1:20:33 AM)
whimper
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:05 AM)
Well, I'm going to sleep
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:08 AM)
Dream of Lone Wolf
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:11 AM)
And tell me about it
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:25 AM)
Oh take a few things off your action chart
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:31 AM)
The Lodestone
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:36 AM)
The Dessi Cloak
Silent Wolf says: (1:21:36 AM)
?
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:38 AM)
Lortha's letter
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:43 AM)
Reciept for the horses
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:51 AM)
The red and blue arrows
Zipp Dementia says: (1:21:54 AM)
And the psychic ring
Silent Wolf says: (1:22:02 AM)
the sword remains in red
Silent Wolf says: (1:22:07 AM)
thats so sad
Silent Wolf says: (1:22:13 AM)
i mean just for this history of the weapon
Zipp Dementia says: (1:22:14 AM)
And the Sommerswerd
Zipp Dementia says: (1:22:18 AM)
Take that off to
Silent Wolf says: (1:22:21 AM)
why is the lodestone gone?
Zipp Dementia says: (1:22:23 AM)
Iss gone
Zipp Dementia says: (1:22:28 AM)
No further use for it
Zipp Dementia says: (1:22:36 AM)
It's never going to come back into play
Silent Wolf says: (1:22:44 AM)
what was it for
Zipp Dementia says: (1:22:50 AM)
I don't even remember
Zipp Dementia says: (1:22:52 AM)
Silent Wolf says: (1:22:58 AM)
;(
