I think you blow up all of Helgedad really, it falls in to the lake of fire. So you could have it Kragenskul is the only darklord remaining, if she coses a certtain way.
And you are always just goign to the darklands to plant the explosive. You never need a powerful weapon, really, as your mission isn't to get in to a fight at all! That might suit her style better. But also have consequences for a passive nature.

Wow - imagine meeting Kraagenskul later in Kaag when on the mission to save Banedon. On the other hand, if Kraagenskul isn't dead in the first place, there's perhaps no fall of the Darklands. And the finish of Book 9 was epic! I just don't understand why everybody *cough* Zipp *cough* doesn't like Sommerswerd. ;D I have a guess at what might replaces SS, though. And Torgar awaits next. Wonder if SW chooses to go Sebb Jarel way (only to see yet another companion die. )

Yeah, I couldn't very well keep a Darklord alive. Or at least, I wouldn't want to. The GM series works for me because it's a whole new set of baddies (well, really, the Ceners). Especially the way I'm planning on running it, it's a whole new series.

And Torgar awaits next. Wonder if SW chooses to go Sebb Jarel way (only to see yet another companion die. ) Not forgetting the possible setting up of a meeting with Roark again on the Isle of Ghosts. In the books you miss that part on the Sebb Jarel route. But no reason it can't be tweaked a bit to steer her back onto it hehe. Also I'm not sure she can take many more companions dying on her. Kimah's little psychological ploy was a nasty one that's left me wondering if it's safe for my sanity to sign up for Culling, lol. (If I'd been playing a scene like that in-character as Moon Dancer, it would have left her badly shaken. It's kind of her main weakness really). If Banedon has left her too at the end of Book 11, I can imagine her just volunteering for a kamikaze mission into the Darklands thinking "Oh well, got nothing left to lose!" hehe.

I ultimately decided to let it lie. If she doesn't meet Roark here, she'll see him again in Book 13 and she'll see Tagazin on the planes in book 11.

I think removing Kraagenskull from the game isn't that hard; I seem to remember he was the naval leader of Gnaag's team, and that when you met him in the books, he was organizing the Darklords' navy to launch a final attack through sea on Sommerlund, wich would be the last blow needed to fell the kingdom. If we assume SW miss his Zlanbeast and has to reach her next stop on foot, then he would probably just set sail before she reach Helgedad, and be outside of the Darklands when Helgedad got destroyed. And of course, destroying Helgedad would kill the Darklords inside even if she hadn't slew them by herself. My only worry is that, once she's in Helgedad, it would be anticlimatic if she failed to face Gnaag; and when she does, she'll need to have a way to kill him. I honestly feel that the other two Darklords of book 12 weaken the image of supremely evil that Gnaag, Haakon and Zagarna had built up to that point; they've to little screen time to become properly memorable, I feel. Well, in the end it's up to Zipp! I'm curious to see how it will develop; book 12 is my favourite, so reading Zipp's version is something I'm really looking forward to! And that's why I'm pointing out these things: I want it to be as perfect as possible!

You could always extend the Lajakeka trip by several days, and use it as a way to skirt around Kraagenskûl. Even have a breakdown halfway through the trip, with attacks by critters and her disguise being threatened and/or compromised at some point.

Speaking about the bit with Kraagenskul... That giant battleship he's having built always felt like a bit of a pointless distraction to me. You get the chance to sneak in and sabotage it (potentially blowing yourself and half of the port into a smouldering crater if you screw it up, lol), but it doesn't matter, 'cos if you complete your quest, the Darklords get wiped out, their armies break up and the ship is never launched anyway. Just kind of felt a bit unsatisfying to me... Would be nice if Kraagenskul survived and went sailing off on that thing only to see it break down and sink under him, hehe The same thing happened in "Mydnight's Hero" with the Elementalism-based trap on the safe too. Would have liked to have seen someone get caught out with it, lol.

Eh, I just like math. Just trying to be useful, I won't be offended! By the way, I completely agree on book 11; I always thought it the absolute worst in the whole series. It really needs some rewriting; I'm very curious to see how you will do it! Book 11 is the black sheep in the series

Sarlac could be fun, could chat to Boba while I'm down there.
Seriously though, why the reaction?
