Greetings! I am new to project AEON and i have read the paper back version years ago. I am in love with the series yet again.
Started playing the online version yesterday and encountered a bug i can not get past. Need help here.
Book 2: Sections 263 and 75 where it prompts me to pick up or purchase a "Red" or "White" Pass. When i click the prompt i get an error message saying: "You do not have a backpack". I can not advance beyond this point in the book.
Under my character sheet, my back pack is empty, and 6 slots are open under Special Items. I have reloaded the game an restarted about 30 steps earlier... but the book leads me to this point each time.
HHHHEEELLPP!!!!

It sounds like you are using a reading aid software of some kind. Which one? We'd be able to refer you to a specific help forum, if applicable.

Thanks for the quick response Kai Master Dave.
Operating from a personal business PC. To my knowledge, we do not have any aid software installed. I checked add/remove programs, i seen nothing un accounted for or related to reading aid software. Text wise, only related programs installed is Adobe Reader version 8.1.3 and and Microsoft Office 2007.

Are you using Seventh Sense? Magnamund Commander? Or an Action Chart?

Sorry, forgot to identify the format i am using. This is through Magnamund Commander.
I had a co-worker who is also a Lone Wolf fanatic (understatement) and it is reproduceable on his computer.

Update: Logged in on my home PC and still get the same error message. So far, three different computers, same error, so it should not be anything on my end.

I don't think this is a software issue, I think it's a logic issue with the book. The Project Aon edition had to specifically note that you can assume you get fitted out with a Backpack by the Sommerlund Consulate, if you get there without one... but until then you may very well be stuck without a backpack, and therefore be prevented from ever getting to the Consulate -- Seal of Hammerdal or no. I'm about to post a recommendation that we footnote the Red and White Passes as being Special Items. Hopefully the authors of the various play aids will update their editions to reflect this. EDIT: Actually, in the end I suggested they either be Special Items, or non-items like the papers you can buy on the street. (Of course, they too could have been treated like a Special Item.)

In Seventh Sense, I already include both passes as Special Items, just for that contingency! Plus, it makes no sense for a pass to take up room in your backpack.

Just have to say ROTFL@Zipp's comment about the passes. That must be a fancy one where they use a spoon for it - usually I just get a huge manky block of wood.

Zipp! This passes thing is really a big problem, I thing I'll try to do a quick fix and make the passes special items. I promise this won't happen in MC2!
