A tribute to Lonewolf by Swedish band Faster Katt. Listening available here: www.facebook.com/pages/Faster-Katt/117781044902623All feedback welcome! SHADOW ON THE SAND I remember long ago when my name was Lone Wolf - the warrior The sole survivor of the Kai order - The last of lords A Flight from the Dark into Fire on the Water - The broken skull I overthrew Then I conquered the Caverns of Kalte and eluded the Chasm of Doom And I was there Shadow on the sand Dark desert land I have arrived Shadow on the sand Oh I better be brave I was running through the dust in the streets of the city of Barrakeesh Chased like a dog by the fierce Sharnazim - Into the ooze of the Baga-darooz Oh, this aint no place for the weary - no time to crumble and cry Cuase the matter of haste here was clearly To retrieve the Book of Magnakai So bring it on Shadow on the sand Dark desert land I have arrived Shadow on the sand Up to the skies of Vasagonia I raise the Sommerswerd My bloodshot eyes reflecting in its blade And by the royal crown of Ulnar, the bloodline of my king I swear I shall escape this hostile sunbleached land I shall prevail! For them, for us, for Sommerlund and the Kai!

Can I say I despise metal?

Epic lyrics, but the song fails. They should've asked Manowar to do it instead.

This isn't really metal, sorry to say. The only "metal" sound in the song is the vocal style. The instrumental accompaniment is more akin to something like Primus. It's an interesting alt-rock song, sure, but you had me really excited when you said metal. I was expecting some epic power metal, but was kinda disappointed.

Yeah, the vocals and instruments are trash. Lyrics have potential though.

I wouldn't put it past (The Lord Weird) Slough Feg to record a song about LW, they've done an entire concept album based on the Traveller RPG.

I like the lyrics and I applaud them for doing a Lone Wolf-inspired song.
But yeah, the singing didn't do it for me at all. A scratchy or gravelly voice would have been fine, but he sounded like he was clearing his throat all through the song.

Nooo, I hate Manowar... Worst band ever - posseur tragic metal. I think old Anathema or My Dying Bride would do good song about fate of Kai monastery.
