Hi
I found the seventh sense application a few days ago. Really good work - it is like playing the game books again - with something extra!
I really like the new playing rules but two things come to mind:
1) Introducing two handed weapon ranged attack rule to remove damage in the first round is excellent. It gives two handed weapons like spears and quarterstaves a real use (there aren't that many that give a bonus in the books and they loss of the shield is a pain - if realistic).
I would really like to keep this, and still get the option to play with your new bonus items. Is this possible?
2) The Hardcore only makes sense up until a point. In the first 6 books you dont receive more training so sensibly no more skills - but after book 6 you have the wealth of information from the book of magnakai to learn new skills, and later on the lorestones...
just a thought

Thanks for your comments, RikimusPrime. I'm glad you're enjoying the program!
In regards to two-handed weapons - The only way to combine those two rules is to mess with the source code. There is no way to combine the two in normal game play. You have just the three weapon options: #1 - by the book style (only bonuses are exactly what's mentioned in the book), #2 - hardcore style (reduce sommerswerd bonus, give small bonus on "named" weapons, and have two-handed weapon bonus), #3 - Prodigy style (very reduced sommerswerd, but much bigger bonuses on named weapons.). You can have either #2 or #3, but not combined.
For Hardcore in general - the idea is to make it considerably more difficult than the traditional rules. It is a self-imposed challenge that doesn't necessarily make ultimate sense, but is a fun variation of the rules that makes you really plan differently how to approach the books, knowing that you won't be able to have more than half of the available discipline, along with other limits and restrictions. You can, of course, choose not to have your disciplines restricted when you start a new campaign, by customizing the gameplay rules to your preferences. (It would, of course, then be a "custom" rule-set, and not be eligible for the Hall-of-Fame, but that's just a secondary consideration. The first consideration is to play the game the way you want to play it!)
Those are just my opinions, but since I made the program - that's why it is the way it is!
