Imagine my annoyance when I realised looking over my collection that this last Lone Wolf book isn't in there. I can't for the life of me remember if I lost it, if I have it somewhere but left it in Australia, or if I even bought it.
So could anyone who has the book help me?
1. Roughly what is the book about? 2. What is the last paragraph of the last section?
I hope that my memory will be jogged by your help. And, in the dreaded case where I've actually not bought it at all... 3. Can I still get it anywhere and if so how much?
Thanks and many regards

I'm working off memory here, but here goes.
1. Autarch Sejanoz of Bhanar, foiled by the Kai Grand Master in the previous adventure (Vampirium), has launched an invasion of Chai. If I remember rightly, you (the Grand Master) flee ahead of his army, or something, and I think the royalty of Chai are involved somehow. 2. It ends *spoiler* after you fight Sejanoz *end spoiler*, after only 300 sections if I remember rightly. The final paragraph is something like the usual "congratulations, Grand Master, you have..." -- except that it says "well, sorry, that's all the books planned for now, but maybe some day..." 3. Of course! How much, well, that depends... those eBay sellers like to gouge buyers, I hear...

I made a short description of the story of each books of the New Order series in another thread: projectaon.proboards30.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=10900824812. It ends *spoiler* after you fight Sejanoz *end spoiler*, after only 300 sections if I remember rightly. The final paragraph is something like the usual "congratulations, Grand Master, you have..." -- except that it says "well, sorry, that's all the books planned for now, but maybe some day..." Does it actually says that? I remember that, instead of saying that you will meet new dangers in the next book of the New Order series, it is said that Kai and Ishir will watch upon you and will grant you a long life, or at least something similar to this. I remember that I was like "WTF? Is it the end?" when I read it because it wasn't clear for me (or I didn't want to believe it) that it was indeed the end of the series.

Well, not literally that, of course, but I'm sure it does end with a fairly stock "that's all, for now" line -- "you will have other adventures, but they're not going to be written" as opposed to "you can continue your adventure in the next book, called..." And I had exactly the same reaction.

The last Section of The Hunger of Sejanoz is as follows:
The above text is (c) Joe Dever 1984-2004.
This part always made me go WTF especially the first time I read it as it sounds like that the series has seemed to have come to an end, and yet it may not....

The last book of our favourite serie was published in 1998... it is a wasted book, also, only to give a fast and temporary ending to the New Order serie. You didn't lost anything: it is the worst and shortest of all books Joe Dever has written in the Lone Wolf serie. I think that all readers agree on this.

I liked it although it was short. There's a good storyline and some good twists, so I can't say that it was completely bad.
