Hi.
As people may or more likely may not remember, I work as admin for www.audiogames.net, a site for vi games, and indeed gamebooks (you'll find an entry for project.aon on our database).
i was really disappointed that there was no accessible version of the Mongose published books, since not only did I want to play the new ones, but also the extra adventures written exclusively for them, however Mongose utterly ignored my mail (as indeed did the publishers of the newer released ff series).
unfortunately, gamebooks on the iPhone in terms of access have been rather hit and miss, and it's actually quite frustrating that a group like Tinman writing games in text for a platform which comes with an in built screeen reader can manage to completely mess the thing up and make it unplayable.
I've read that lw for the Iphone is a possibility, and while it's still in the developement stage it would be nice to put a word in as regards access, particularly since unlike Kindles (who's screen reading abilities are more than a little hit and miss), all Iphones will! speak and increasing numbers of vi players are getting them for that reason.
it is! possible to create accessible gamebook style games for the iPhone, ---- witness choiceofgames as an example, however I'd hate to see the lw version mucked up as apparently happened with
Is there a way I could get in touch with whoever iss currently in charge of lw publishing on the Iphone and ask them to include access? or better still, contact whoever is publishing the books now and suggest that like many rpg source books they sell pdf versions for access reasons?
Of course, I might get the same response as I did from the ff publishers and mongose, namely a big fat zippo, but I can but try.
