I created a web interface for the Project Aon Lone Wolf editions that would be responsive, i.e. work on mobiles, tablets and desktops, and that would be available when offline.
Lone Wolf Adventures
The app downloads the content of the first 5 of Joe Dever's Lone Wolf books, the Kai Series, so only illustrations by Gary Chalk is downloaded. I wanted to showcase the illustrations, so I used some of these in the user interface, but only after a user agrees to the Project Aon terms. The home view, for example, uses an image of a key as icon to load an existing game, a small illustration from the first book. Other than the illustrations and layout, the only real design element is the font, Fell Great Primer.
The app uses:
The app has been tested in:
Currently it is up to the user to fill out the action chart, calculate combat and select numbers from the random number table. I don't want to over-automate it as I want to keep the experience as close to the original gamebooks as possible, but I still want to add some features.
For information about the project, support for the app or feedback about the project, please start a new thread.

The app uses:
- HTML5's application cache for offline play
- HTML5's local storage to save game progress
- Backbone.js and RequireJS for structure and modular code
- Foundation for layout and interface elements
The app has been tested in:
- Chrome, Safari and Internet Explorer 10 on the desktop (IE 9 and previous versions do not support HTML5 application cache)
- Mobile Safari and Chrome on iOS, and Android's native browser and Chrome on Android
- There is an issue in Firefox, where the download doesn't work and only online play is possible, that I haven't managed to resolve yet.
Currently it is up to the user to fill out the action chart, calculate combat and select numbers from the random number table. I don't want to over-automate it as I want to keep the experience as close to the original gamebooks as possible, but I still want to add some features.
