Greetings everyone. This is my first post so forgive me if this has been answered. I tried doing a search before posting and didn't find any info that would help me.
I navigated the site looking for a zip file of the current Statskeeper and can't find it anywhere.
The Statskeeper page links listed under download (zip or tarball) contain the old version, and the current Statskeeper link at the top of the page goes directly to the online html CSS page.
I downloaded the old version and had no problems getting it to work but I'd like to use the newer version offline, if possible.
Is it me? Am I just missing something simple?
BTW, I'd like to thank everyone here for all the incredible work they've done getting these books setup for computer play and most importantly, for keeping them alive (which by extension includes a thanks to the author, Joe Dever, for allowing it all to happen.)
The interactive style was always better suited to computers than straight books. They're a perfect fit. I bought and played several of the original 12 books in the mid to late '80s and might have had some of the next series as well. I even programmed my dot matrix printer at the time to create my own status sheets -- I had the poor thing moving and scrolling back and forth like a plotter instead of a printer, making boxes and centering the text ,etc. Today it would be a simple thing to do, but back then I had to write a program to do it the way I wanted.
I have lots of fond memories of the books and playing this series. I'm looking forward to revisiting them after all these decades.

Hi there
Currently, we don't offer the flash version of Statskeeper for download, unfortunately. This may be resolved over the coming weeks or months, but as a volunteer effort, sometimes people get very busy with the hated Real Life to work on things. :-\
What you can do (assuming you're using Firefox; other browsers may be slightly different) is right-click on the area of the page next to the Flash statskeeper and select "Show Only This Frame". This will just show the Flash program on the screen. Then, save the whole page and you have the Flash swf file for offline use. You will have to manually open the book you want to play in a separate tab and manually move between Statskeeper and the book. It's not ideal, but it's what I did.
Hope it helps!

Thanks, I'll give it a try. I don't always have a solid internet connection so I hope it works. If not, I'll live with the older version for now.

'Fraid not. It's not a high priority right now; we're focused on some remaining issues in the Magnakai books, and then we'll be looking at getting the Freeway Warrior books out.
