Hello forum So, the Grand Master series is slowly crawling to life I need, however, a little help about Improved Curing vs Deliverance The first says that I can restore 20 EPs if I am reduced under 6 EPs, whilst in combat, "once per adventure" The second states that I can restore 20 EPs, if I am reduced under 8 EPs, whilst in combat, "once per adventure" Given how Lone Wolf Saga is being developed, you could be a Kai Grand Master with both the Disciplines, or only with one of them (this second case is not a problem, since with only one such Discipline, you can just use it once every adventure). So common sense would dictate that the two effects are almost "identical", and so they should not stack, that is that you can not restore 40 EPs if reduced under 6 or 8 EPs But, should I be able to use both the versions in the same adventure? I would say yes, and I would develop it in that sense, because, if the answer was not, which other "practical" effect would Deliverance have? Any official rule on this question? I have not been able to find anything at the moment GDV

The Curing burst heal is just a loyalty bonus. It's not part of the actual Game Rules to begin with. They don't stack since thematically it is the exact same ability.
Still, the Deliverance one is much preferable to the Curing one: With the Curing burst heal you are in danger of dying without getting a chance to use it already at -3 CR. With Deliverance you are safe all the way down to -7 CR.

Thanks for the clarification!!
So, a Grand Master that chooses not to reroll its stats, and gets to keep its former Kai and Magnakai Discipline, should have the option of using BOTH the "versions" IN the same adventure?

Well, my point was that you shouldn't be able to use both , since thematically they are the exact same ability.

It is a replacement ability. If you have deliverance it replaces curing.
Also for the first GM books you'd not be able to use curing in subsequent adventures, since 100 days will mean every other book. So 13 to 15 are all too close, so is 16 to 18, and 19 to 20. So 100 days often means every other book, while 20 days means once in each book.
