So what is the possibility of having a Lone Wolf convention? An event where Lone Wolf fans could meet and hang out and there will be vendors there and special guests such as Joe Dever. Also, various discussions and events covering Lone Wolf topics will take place. I've been to many other types of conventions and I would love a Lone Wolf convention.

Is our community that even that big? Outside of you guys, I know one person who used to read them. Of course, lone wolf doesn't really come up a lot in my work... But, hey, maybe I'm wrong and there's a huge loyal fan base outside my realm of reality. I would love to go to something like that.

I wonder what the annual sales figures were like during the 80's. I'm sure Joe would know. As gamebooks go I have heard that it was one of the most successful series, though I don't think it ever achieved larger cultural consciousness like Choose Your Own Adventure did, or even Fighting Fantasy. I don't get the impression that the vast majority of Americans here have ever heard of Lone Wolf. Maybe it's more well known in Britain and across Europe?

In the 80's Lone Wolf sold millions of copies. I remember a library publication for media specialists at our school library had LW09 listed, and the publication stated that this series was hard to keep stocked because of demand. LW could be found in the book section of Kmart, and had a prominent place at Waldenbooks, where I bought LW #1 Pacer edition.
The internet and videogames have changed a lot of things.
