Lone Wolf 23 Update?

Hi all,

Anyone know if Lone Wolf 23 and 30 from Holmgard press are still slated for release in 2016? I've been watching for a preorder but haven't seen or heard anything in a while. JD's timeline, which he posted shortly after the release of book 29, had book 23 in October and 30 in December. Thanks for any news!

Joe hasn't posted any news on his Facebook page about it lately. www.mapmagnamund.com/ is the site where any available books are selling via Holmgard Press, so you can keep checking there if Facebook isn't an option.

Joe posted the cover art and dust jacket maps for LW 23 on facebook last week, it is definitely on the way.

I seem to remember that he also said that pre-order for book 23 will be possible starting on September 16th.

Thanks to everyone for the updates! I'm not on Facebook and can't see Joe's posts there, so these boards are my primary source of Lone Wolf news. Any info regarding the publication schedule or preorders that you re-post on this forum is much appreciated. Now fingers crossed that book 30 hits the December release target!

Directly from Joe's Facebook page:

Slight delay due to the Bonus Adventure coming in a little late. LW23 is currently in layout and will be going to print early next month (October). I plan to start the pre-orders on Oct 15 to coincide with the Feast of Folmarn. LW23 will likely ship out between Nov 7 – Nov 11 soon after I get back from the Lucca Comics & Games Show (Italy).

Well, this explains that... From Joe's Facebook page:

It is with deep regret I must inform you that I am unable to attend Lucca next week due to ill health. I am being admitted to hospital tomorrow (Sunday) and I will most likely be kept in for 10 days or so for a series of intravenous treatments to correct side effects and ongoing complications following bile duct surgery I had in August.

I’ve had a very challenging few months health-wise that have made it impossible to maintain my usual busy work schedule. All of the complications I’ve had since July have two common symptoms: chronic fatigue and muscle weakness. Both have made it increasingly more difficult for me to concentrate and perform my work normally. Hopefully, the treatments I will receive next week shall fix the problems once and for all.

I can only apologise sincerely for the inconvenience this unavoidable decision will cause all my loyal Italian fans that have been looking forward to meeting and chatting with me next week at the show. Lucca is a big part of my life and it breaks my heart not to be able to be there to enjoy it with you this year.
