Hello,
I am a fan fiction writer that does everything non profit. I was wondering if it would be breaking the License or creating any copyright problems if I play through the game books and write my adventures in a novelization of the choices, with most everything, especially creatures and most characters, replaced by generic monsters and such and also attempting to not plagiarize the game books as well. Most scenes will need to be heavily altered to allow for easier reading and not read like a game master talking to the player. So basically I'd be using the story line of the books but in a slightly different setting with altered events and such.
This probably is an odd thing to ask. I merely want to combine my two favorite fandoms and hopefully enlighten more people to the wonder that is Lone Wolf.

I would think as long as your not making a profit anything goes. It's your work, but I'm not a lawyer and who knows, maybe there is some rule against using peoples ideas for something that no one profits from...
Ask Joe Dever I guess... /shrug

www.projectaon.org/en/Main/LicenseI am not a lawyer, but the key sentence to me is "By viewing or downloading the books or the illustrations, you agree to refrain from redistributing them in any format for any reason". I am not sure if what you are proposing counts as redistribution. That may depend on the plagiarism laws in your country. I would ask Joe. He can be reached via Facebook (though he hasn't been on in a few weeks due to illness).
