Hi all,
It's been quiet on these boards recently so I thought I would post a bit of exciting news. After a delay of many months, Megara Entertainment today released the digital edition of the new Grey Star the Wizard Vol. 1. This is a collector's edition with new Gary Chalk illustrations and a brand new bonus adventure. Supposedly Joe Dever was part of the editing process before he passed, and the book has been rebalanced throughout.
Anyway, the book is going to press now and should be available to purchase a physical copy soon. Keep an eye on Megara's website!
Hopefully this is the first in a string of good news for Lone Wolf, supposedly much of the delay in Grey Star can be attributed to Ben Dever pulling double duty and also editing Lone Wolf 23 and, presumably, working on Lone Wolf 30, simultaneously with Grey Star!

Thanks spartanroarke! that is great news... Grey Star is great.. will for sure buy the book and the fact to see Southern Magnamund with Gary Chalks eyes will be excellent! I remember not liking the drawing in original Grey Star when I was young, but now when I see those I like them a lot... but no one can beat Gary

I know this will probably get buried by new Lone Wolf news today, but Grey Star book one is available to order at Megara’s website. This is no preorder, the book is printed and ready to ship, some Kickstarter backers have already received the book. There were two covers made, one by Gary Chalk and one by Pascal Quidault. I only see the Quidault cover available at the moment. Progress on these collector’s editions is so intermittent, we should all cheer anytime a new book appears. Great job Megara, now let’s get to work on book two! Find it at the bottom of the link, or just google Megara Entertainment. www.megara-entertainment.com/

So, how is this edition of the Grey Star? I never played any of those.

After a delay of many months, Megara Entertainment today released the digital edition of the new Grey Star the Wizard Vol. 1. Where can I purchase the digital edition, or was that a kickstarter bonus only? Their site only seems to have the physical one.

Note that Megara's FB page talks about Ian Page developing the outlines for a new trilogy of GS books. I imagine they would take place between his defeat of Shasarak and before the final confrontations of LW 30-32?

Megara just posted Gary Chalk's new Forbidden City cover: I don't see it on their website... Frankly, their website is horrible: all their books are thrown at the face of the visitors in a huge mess without any order... It can be hard to find exactly what you are looking for.

excellent cover, unfortunately the second book didn't raise enough money to have Gary illustrate the images in the book. I'm backer of this project on Kickstarter, hope it still be good.

That could almost be a blessing. I shudder in horror to think of what his rendition of a Deathgaunt might be.
No one ever answered me earlier, so I'll ask again... is there a way to purchase a digital version of the book 1 remake?

Is it still possible to purchase this book? I would like to help Megara out financially given the dire straits they are in, as well as obtain a copy.
I went to Megara's website and only found a link to the kickstarter campaign attempting to save them.

I tried to order a copy back in January.
I had this in an email from Megara this week: "but I could not restock Grey Star because the company account is frozen to order restocks at that time"
So I think the answer would be unfortunately not.

Based on updates to the Grey Star 2 Kickstarter, Megara may be just weeks or even days away from declaring bankruptcy. The odds of receiving an order placed today are small, I wouldn’t buy anything from them until their financial issues are resolved.
