For whatevert reason, my version of that pic comes in color. It adds a lot. Well, I have the color version on my U.K. FFtD, but I just double checked both my dedicated copy and my 'scratch' copy and neither is in color. I thought maybe my friend who made the scratch copy for me had omitted the color on that page for the sake of cost in copying.

Really? I do know that mine was reprinted especially for me, so maybe that was a bonus? Doesn't sound right, though.

To me, Lone Wolf looks like the cover of Book 11, with him about to draw his sword against the dragon. He looks quite young in that, but also lean, powerful and somewhat bestial. I think that's my favourite piece of Lone Wolf art actually. It's great.

You must be thinking the British cover. THe American one, he's quite ugly, about to chop off a Kraan's head.

Yeah, funny considering there isn't a single Kraan in the book, as far as I know!

It's probably my least favorite cover. I'm not surew what the British cover of Book 6 is, but the American one is wonderful. It's Lone Wolf holding the old man (good god, I've forgotten his name) amid the wreckage of the graveyard (nice going, Roark ). There is a look of heavy destiny about him that I've never forgotten.

That's Cyrilis, after he's had the life sucked out of him by some of those zombies. The U.K. one (one of them at least) has a rather warped looking pic of the Dakomyd on the cover; I prefer the picture in the text.

For me Lone Wolf will always be the guy on Gary Chalk's cover of Flight from the Dark, with the cover of The Magnamund Companion being a reasonable painted interpretation. Yep, that's my LW too. They used that image in the corner of most of the books I read the first time around, a kind of icon. Mean, moody and magnificent.

Flaring green cloak behind, axe held out threateningly in front of him, blond hair and a grim expression. Go Lone Wolf! *Tries to convince himself that his dirty-dishwater hair is still light blond*

You must be thinking the British cover. THe American one, he's quite ugly, about to chop off a Kraan's head. Yah - that is like the only cover I know of with a "fake" scene on it. Is it a Kraan? Is it a dragon? Is it a vortex creature of some kind? Buy the book and find out! Sucker! Seriously, maybe Joe thought that would be a sweet ending to the book - combating a surprise creature inside the Shadow Gate on the way home. On the other hand, can you imagine the uproar after fighting Chaos Master, the Sommerlund Villians, AND Vonotar, then taking d10 damage from traversing the gate, THEN having to fight a Gate Dragon, too??? Definitely cool, also perhaps just too darn deadly!

To be fair, you DO take 1d10 damage at the start of Book 12 by exiting the Shadow Gate back to Aon. Obssessive Lone Wolf points for knowing where you emerge (without checking)!

What? I thought the answer was "in the shower with Banedon"... it is a beautiful bathroom, actually, with a map-mural of Magnamund painted on the ceiling.
But I double-checked... looks like outspaced gets the points on this one!!

That's right! LW goes into the bathroom to relieve himself while Banedon is in the shower. Banedon asks for the scrub brush, and as LW goes to hand it to him he slips in a puddle (Banedon makes such a mess in the shower, splashing around like a little kid all the time!) and falls down, whacking his head on the chamber pot and being knocked unconscious. Later, while rubbing his head after waking up, he realizes the whole Chaos Master thing was only a sick and twisted Dream Sequence, and that he never met Kai at all! ;D
