A new friend of mine claims to have A Copy of The Original Book 22 that has 1 Spelling Mistake on the Cover, has another on the spine and he believes these make this already very rare book unique. Do you think that it will worth a fortune
The first mistake is that on The Cover the word Buccaneers is spelt with 1 E and not 2 E's and the 2nd mistake is that on the spine the word Shadaki is spelt with a regular S and not with a capital S
The problem is that he refuses to sell it as it was a present from his mothers mother who fell ill less then 2 hours later and died the following evening, which as was just over 28 hours after falling ill

It depends... I know that with hockey cards, if a card is printed with an error but in a subsequent run the error is corrected, then one of the two versions worth more than the other (the one that is the rarest). As for book 22, to my knowledge, there are 2 versions: the Mantikore-Verlag version (the Collector's Edition) and the original Red Fox version. The capital 'S' on the spine on both version is hard to determine if it is indeed a capital letter: on the Mantikore version, all the letters are capitals of the same size and on the Red Fox version, they are also all capitals but the ones that should be real capitals are just a little bit taller by a few millimeters. As for the missing 'E' on the cover, I would really like to see a proof of this...
Book 22 is already one of the rarest book in the original version of the series and can reach very high price on eBay. If there's indeed a version with a spelling error, then it would worth even more IMO.

Forget what I posted yesterday, my so called friend just sent me a text saying that he was very drunk, very desperate to impress and in the hope of impressing those he was socializing with told a great big lie. My own apologies and those of my drunk friend. Sorry
