In the alchemist’s workshop, we come across a safe containing «a jet-black bony cone like the tip of a large horn». Later we find that the tomb robbers seem to have been looking for this artifact.
The description seems to ring a bell, but so faint I can’t quite place it. Anyone care to give me a clue? What are we looking at here?

I'm curious about that alright, I like how the tee-up for books 29-32 starts with these references, the appearances of the Brumalghast etc.
I liked the extra 50 sections too, was good to get to know some of the important characters a little better.

I wonder if it's from that monster that you can set on fire (but not kill) that was trapped by the Cenerese way back in the reprint of Flight From The Dark? |
