Yes, it refers to everything that was taken from you. The parallel section 177 merely adds the clarification as a reminder; Section 54 should probably have a footnote to clarify this.
Hope it helps!

Too bad kamqute: you'll realize near the end of the book that you would had prefered to never met Gwynian in Tahou... you'll see why!

Aha! Shows you how smart I am; I made it a policy as soon as I started book 8, when you can first leave special items at home, NOT to carry the SS with me, as I felt it was unbalanced and anyway I might be detected by ickyspawn and whatnot. In the end, I had to capitulate for book 8 (freaking Vordaks! And no WM or Psi-Surge), but I started doing it in 9 and--well--it still took me about 20 run-throughs to kill Kimah, but it feels sooooo good, dontcha know.
In book 12 now, and still no SS.

One addition here - these sections are not parallel; they are independent and have different effect (54 gives you all your equipment back, 177 does not give you your Weapons or weapon-like Special Items). And you may reach one but not the other, etc. Our footnote in 177 could be improved, to say that you should keep x'es before your lost weapons too, but I don't see a reason for any footnote in 54?

OK, fine! You're making all the changes to the XML files, Thomas.
