What is the main (body text) font used in the Project Aon online editions? I think I saw it in a newspaper today and got curious.

The typeface used in the Lone Wolf books is called Souvenir. I think the Bantam Choose Your Own Adventure series is also set in this font.

Aren't the new ones also in Souvenir?
Edit: And I just learned there is a difference between a font and a typeface. Whee! Learning is fun.

Surely not a coincidence. Hope you guys get a percentage from Mongoose. Also, I notice the new sig - the new series is great, isn't it?

Souvenir is a nice font, though someone once described it as "the work of the devil. To be used only if you also have long, centre-parted hair, wear flares and tank-tops, and refer to women as 'birds'." So not everyone necessarily agrees. Doomy: Yeah, this series has been superb so far. "Egg and my face were in alignment!"

Well I don't think Morris Benton Fuller behaved like that in 1914!

The original post asked about the online Lone Wolf editions, not the original printed books. The online editions look like Georgia to me, but I can't tell from the source because I only know HTML, not these languages with X in their name that they use now.

I think everything is in Souvenir, be it online or printed. Has anyone got a link where I can download the font used by PA? I'd like to use it for my own stuff.

well you will only see Souvenir online if you happen to have Souvenir installed on your computer - and most people won't have, cos it's not bundled as a standard part of any of the common operating systems.
You can buy Souvenir from Linotype.com

The Project Aon stylesheet specifies:
font-family: Souvenir, Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif
(i.e. that is the search order)

Cool. I have downloaded Souvenir now, and changed all my desktop icons to that. Think I might need to change it back though, it's not very well suited to that sort of thing.

Yeah, I'm not going to pay money just to make the online editions look like the books. My Linux computer (which I am currently using) doesn't even have Georgia, so it shows up as a Times-ish font.
