Greetings from a long-time reader, first-time contributor! I come seeking advice. Could one of the highly knowledgeable forum members post details of in which books the various special items useable in the LW Grand Master Series are found? I know about half of them, such as the Silver Helm being in Book 3 and the Silver Bracers in book 12, but items such as the Kagonite Chainmail elude me. Thanks in advance.

Ok, so I have a lot of time to spare, so I can try to answer your question. This is a huge spoiler though, so you should not read it if you want to discover these items by yourself. Crystal Star Pendant: You have to help Banedon in book 1 on section 131. The only way that I know to get there is by using your discipline of Sixth Sense in the first section and then head to the Northeast. (@anybody: Is there another way to get to section 131?)
Sommerswerd: Do you really want to know where you can find it in book 2?
Silver Helm:In book 3, kill the Crystal Frostwyrm, get the Silver Key, then, after you entered the fortress, take the west passage and then open the second door (and the chest, of course).
Dagger of Vashna: Oh, come on, play book 4 up to the end!
Silver Bracers: Use your Magnakai discipline of Curing to heal the wounds of the Captain after the battle with the Xargath in book 12.
Jewelled Mace: There's two ways to get that item in book 5. The first way is by taking the west passage after you escape your cell. Enter the Armoury, open the chest and kill the Yas. The second way is in the second part of the book. On your way to Ikaresh, enter the cave, then give Oede herb to the sick man. He'll reward you with the Mace.
Silver Bow of Duadon: Enter and win the archery tournament in book 6.
Helshezag: Another item that is so obvious to get that I won't say anything about it, except that it is in book 12.
Kagonite Chainmail: Really hard to get. In book 12, during the battle with the ironclads, there will be a time where you'll have to pick a random number with two possibilities: either your number is between 0-9, or it is 10 and above (because of the many bonus points you can get). You'll need to get a number between 0-9. From there, kill all the ennemies that approach you (don't escape any battle) and you'll be offer the possibility to search the bodies of your dead ennemies. One of the Drakkarims has the Chainmail.
Korlinium Scabbard: You can have this item in book 12 only if you have the Sommerswerd.
Oh, yeah, one more thing: the Korlinium Scabbard doesn't have any utility in the 4 first books of the Grand Master series, and book 17 gives you one automatically if you have the Sommerswerd. If somebody knows other ways to get these items, feel free to add your ideas! Phew...that was a long post...hope it helps!

Regarding:None that I know of besides what you said. Nice list by the way! ;D Regarding the Kagonite Chainmail: The guy with the chainmail is a captain or lieutenant of sorts, and if you play your cards wrong he will destroy your bow; this really sucks if you won the Silver Oak Bow of Duadon. If somebody laughs when you aim at his chest, shoot him in the face instead. Then you'll be the one laughing!
