First of all, sorry if this is the wrong forum for this question, but I suspect the Advelh designers are French and may not be able to respond to my questions in English.
Here's the problem: I downloaded Advelh v.27E, but when I run it I get this error message: "Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."
The help file says "2. It Gives Me Crap About Dependencies ! Advelh uses some DLL's for its main text field to allow text formattings (RTF). You might be missing RichTx32.ocx or RichEd32.dll in your C:\Windows\System (or System32) folder. Download these DLL's on the Advelh website given above, and put them in your System folder."
However, I have both those files in my System32 folder.
I'm running Windows XP. Anyone know how to solve this problem (I'm not buying a new operating system).

Your missing file is COMDLG32.OCX instead of the two stated as examples in the Help file. To solve all those problems once and for all, download and install Advelh 34 (the most recent French version -- it actually has a full installer). Then, if you still want to use the old English version 27, go ahead -- it should work because they use the same DLL's. Get Advelh 34 from here : homepage.mac.com/siyanlis/Xhoromag/Advelh.htm

I've had other applications that need this, and you can also get the dll on it's own around the net quite easily
