I was thinking, and bear with me please as I have no idea how practical this might be, that it would be nice to somehow incorporate this into the online version of FFTD. Perhaps it could be transformed into the same electronic format as the book itself, then connected to it by an explanatory footnote in much the same way as the errata works at the moment? That would allow people to enjoy this new way of playing with minimum hassle while purists can still choose to ignore it entirely.

I'd just like to point out that I asked for a copy of this Gourgaz battle, but I never received it...if you could re-send it to empalmer10 @ hotmail.com, I'd appreciate it.

I do have a Helghast one in the works for book 2, and, I must say, it does sound cool on paper. But time... alas time. However, I do have time to send out the Gourgaz fight to those who have asked. Coming right up.

Hey Zipp, I enjoyed your expanded gorgaz fight. Good stuff. Good to hear it! Now that classes have started again, and I've got to keep myself occupied during lecture hall, work on the helghast fight from book 2 (the one where you get the spear) has begun again in earnest. I say this hopefully, but... expect something by the end of October.

Does everyone who wanted a Gourgaz now have one? Is there anyone who I've missed, or who asked for one and did not recieve it?

I just got to try it out with my current LW having completed book one.
And I have to say I love it! Very smart, that one! (Though I only played it once yet..)
Interestingly enough it was harder to finish with a max-CS/low-EP character than by the original rules! - This may be intended or just because it was my first try - however. It rocks! [Spoiler: In fact I had to be saved by the Prince!]
A minor remark from this play-through: Section 30 seems to be two sections combined into one. This clogged my read of it a little. (Decriptive text - Option - Desciptive text - Options)
And last but least: Section 35 states: "You get into a defensive potion. ..." This poses some questions: What is the exact effect of this potion? Does it affect me? And how long does the effect last? ;D
LHYS - Eagerly awaiting the Helghast!

I really have to finish up the Helghast, I'm so close to being done with it. I didn't think about this before, but now that I do, I think high EP would be better, because CS only really helps you in the beginning choices by giving you better options. After that, you need to rely on your disciplines and make good decisions to stay alive. And have a bit of luck, of course.

Actually, Zipp, read carefully. ^_^
Long-Hair Yuppie Scum was actually quoting a "defensive POTION" -- thus the humorous question about specific effect on combat stats. You obviously made a typo when you tried to type "defensive position".

Er... consider it a potion that makes you infinitely more intelligent than the man who wrote the supplement.

This is really excellent, good job.
You mentioned that you doing these bosses is a big job. If you are okay with it, I would be happy to prepare a different future boss, just written out in Microsoft Word format because I have no idea how you managed to get it to look so good. Maybe of Kimah? Since the battle as it stands irritates everyone so much.
