Hello,
My apologies if this has already been asked many times before. I tried to post my question to the sticky thread on this topic at the top but apparently plain registered users don't have permissions to do so.
I noticed lonewolf-online.com is still down. The link Thomas supplied in the sticky thread is to the Tower of the Sun's message board about Lone Wolf online. Is there also a site somewhere that has more info on the Lone Wolf online game? Such as screenshots, news, etc? I dug around the Tower of the Sun site for awhile but couldn't find anything but the message board.
Thanks for any info!

You mean the LWO site, the one that was developped by Mikael Louys and his team? The project is now dead since Mikael didn't liked that JD allowed another group to develop also a video game based on Lone Wolf. Instead to keep working on the project, he decided to end it, so the LWO site will never be back online. However, there's still the website of the new game, but I don't know the link. The link from Thomas that leads to TotS was made because LWO's forums had problems. TotS decided to host a section on the game in its forums. This section became the new official forum of LWO. EDIT: Ah, there's the link: www.ksatria.com/. There's a thread in the announcements on PA's forum about that new game.

Well, we do have to be fair to Mikael and say that he had more reasons than just being annoyed that someone else was getting to make a game. In fact, that wasn't it at all. He felt that Joe had given him the short end of the stick, which is somewhat true. I don't think that he made the right decision, but I do understand his position. He was pouring his life, money, and soul into that game and I think he just felt that Joe should support it a bit more. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just that he let his emotions get the better of him, and so turned a lot of people away from his cause and created a general bad feeling about his project. That was his bad. In any case, yes the project is shut down, and I felt to be fair I had to give the other side of the story.

Magnamund running on the World of Warcraft engine would be beyond awesome. Too bad there's just no demand for it. They could advertise the [fudge] out of it, make it a reduced-price expansion and still their current WoW subscribers would go, collectively, "wtf is Loan Wulf lol" and pass it by.
Maybe Blizzard/Mongoose/PA could team up and offer some huge package with the e-books, PnP game, and PC MMO. I can dream, right?

Keep dreamin', dude.
The other problem is that you have a lot of Lone Wolf fans who don't play MMOs, which means that when someone says "Hey, a Lone Wolf MMORPG!" we just sort sit back and say, "Hey, cool," and then ignore that it exists. It doesn't have the immediate appeal that a tabletop RPG has (since Lone Wolf is a roleplaying game itself, so Lone Wolf fans are almost always at least interested in tabletop games).

JD allowed another group to develop also a video game based on Lone Wolf. Do you have a link to information on that video game? A single player RPG that was true to the world would be great.

The only link that I have about the developper is the one you see in my first post of this thread. However, some of the people that have worked previously on the LWO project have posted their work in an album on this website.
