Okay, I'm sure most of the people reading this have scoured the net for pages relating to Lone Wolf. Since I am about to redesign my own page, I thought I'd ask:
What is needed on a Lone Wolf webpage to fill the gaps out there, or what would you like to see on a webpage? What would keep a website from becoming "just another Lone Wolf site"?
So far, I've narrowed my focus entirely on collecting the books, which is an aspect I've not seen anywhere. I'm even working on a massive pictorial checklist to make completist collectors drool (at least US cover completists).

What is needed are no 404's I found a few.
To explain I have been visiting this and prior site over the last few months and have accessed and played books when they were still in the work file. For example I completed the third book of Grey Star at least a month ago.
Some of the first Lone Star books are still listed under Quick link, however are now 404 when trying to read them (I have completed every book you do have online, that I could find). A little house keeping is in order at this time. You also might consider some security to prevent me (or others) from access to parts of your website, however that is up to you.
As for other changes to the website all I can offer would be things like maintaining a current FAQ, keep it simple, getting too fancy becomes problematical.
Oh a contact link also was 404 when I clicked on that link to try to advise I found 404s.

For collecting the books info, what I find more useful would be:
1) cover scans, sure 2) ISBNs and publication years matching the different covers, that saves a lot of effort when browsing abebooks and such 3) what would make a collector's site really impressive would be to do some research kinda similar to what the Acaeum does for Dungeons and Dragons: you get estimate rarity of book scores, estimated price according to used bookstores and auction listing final prices... Acaeum does a really good job at showing how some D&D products are outrageously overpriced, so collectors can really see when they're finding a good bargain or when the deal (or the bid war) goes clearly over the top. Given that there are quite fewer ebay auctions for Lone Wolf than for D&D, the "book monitor" project would be quite doable.

As it stands, the site has been torn apart, so it isn't really nice or friendly to look at. In the past, its completion was put onto a low priority list because of another massive website I was doing with daily updates for a half year. Now that people are actually starting to visit it, I wanted to spend time to polish it up. Yeah, you'll find 404s right now, and maybe a few in the past, but there will be none on the final version. I don't like 404s either, and I knew about that contact link--but forgot. I hope to have it finished in about a week or so. Andyr, I was actually thinking along the lines of what you listed in #3 earlier this week at work, and was actually thinking of a format to use. The Acaeum page fits what I had in mind perfectly. I had already updated my booklinks page to include approximate values of the books, but this idea to have it all on a separate page is much better by far. Thanks for the input. KL
