I just looked up Buccaneers of Shadaki on Amazon.co.uk: www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0099252813/qid%3D1090605081/202-8652772-1892655£339? Who in their right mind would actually pay that much? That's over $600 USD! All I can say is "congratulations" to anyone who bought the New Order books when they first came out. That's a hell of an investment! Especially if you find some rich lunatic willing to buy 'em from you!

Well said. Me? I pray every day that the New Order series will (by some miracle) be published on Project Aon (or even better) republished period.

You can sometimes get lucky and win them on ebay for much less, but it takes practice and long-term dedication. I won #21, 23, and 26 for less than $40 each.

I was lucky, in that I purchased each of the NO books the moment they came out, and so I have all of them in good-to-great condition. I wonder how much I could sell them for ? Not that I would ever sell them. I'll take having the books over the money.

I love Lone Wolf as much as the next fella, but the way things are just now I have to admit that, if I owned them, I would sell the New Order series and book a REALLY nice holiday with the proceeds.

Nope, not me, I'm in it for the long haul. I just won #22 (FINALLY) yesterday after months of trying for just under $120. Unfortunately, that's before shipping. . . You can have my LW books when you pry them from my cold, dead fingers!

Wow! I didn't know they're worth THAT much now.....I have, like, every single book from the Kai GM series (i.e. 13 onwards).....that means..... Must.....resist.....the temptation..... Seriously, I wouldn't think of selling away any part of my childhood. Unless, of course, I'm in dire need of money or anything. No Sir! Those books are not going anywhere. *Hoards his Lone Wolf, Way of The Tiger and Blood Sword Gamebooks*

*Hoards his Lone Wolf, Way of The Tiger and Blood Sword Gamebooks* What, no Fabled Lands? No Fighting Fantasy? No Virtual Reality Gamebooks, DuelMaster, GrailQuest, Golden Dragon Gamebooks, Cretan Chronicles, Sagas of the Demonspawn, etc., etc.? ;D [Gotta love the BloodSword series, though I think I prefer Way of the Tiger with its ninja combat punches, kicks and throws. :-) ]

What, no Fabled Lands? No Fighting Fantasy? No Virtual Reality Gamebooks, DuelMaster, GrailQuest, Golden Dragon Gamebooks, Cretan Chronicles, Sagas of the Demonspawn, etc., etc.? ;D Unfortunately not; most of my other collections are incomplete. Gotta love the BloodSword series, though I think I prefer Way of the Tiger with its ninja combat punches, kicks and throws. :-) Blood Sword was the first ever "D&D" experience I had; we actually had a bunch of 4 players and the "Reader" to play it out. My vote for the best fighting mechanics in gamebooks goes to the legendary Way of the Tiger though. Who can resist those funky kicks and punches, not to mention the painful-looking "Teeth of the Tiger Throw"? ;D

What, no Fabled Lands? No Fighting Fantasy? Hehe. I've got rather a lot of FF, and a complete set of FL. Well, not a complete set because we were screwed over by the publishers when they didn't publish 7-12. This was around the same time LW and FF were axed - publishers were getting out of gamebooks.

This was around the same time LW and FF were axed - publishers were getting out of gamebooks. Erm . . . well, I guess I should go on record and say that I actually own pretty much all the FF series. 1-59, Sorcery 1-4, Clash of the Princes 1 & 2, Novels 1-3, Zagor Chronicles 1-4, FF: The Introductory RPG, The Riddling Reaver, Titan (A4 and A5), Out of the Pit (A4 and A5), Dungeoneer, Blacksand!, and Allansia. Oh, and the 4 Adventures of Goldhawk books by Ian Livingstone. I guess that all adds up to a rather mis-spent youth. A number of those books go for quite high prices on Ebay as well. Fabled Lands 1-6 are superb; just sad that, as you say, the publishers pulled the plug. Bloodsword 1-5, Demonspawn 1-4, Cretan Chronicles 1-3, Way of the Tiger 1-6, Virtual reality 1-6, DuelMaster 1-1 to 4-2, Golden Dragon 1-6, GrailQuest 1-5 (I'm missing the last three *sob* ) and many other miscellaneous gamebooks. I've been a gamebook fan for about 18 years now, which is one of the reasons I'm so happy to be a part of Project Aon. Toysailor: Teeth of the Tiger throw is my own personal favourite move too!

I myslef only have: The Way of the Tiger 1-6 (as well as copies of volume 3, 4 & 5) And about 8 differing FF titles .... I'd like to increase my collection but as this thread states, its just way too expensive these day's with very few still in print Thank God for Project Aon or I'd never have had the pleasure of discovering the Lonewolf series at all.
