Oh cheer up GB you sad bastard... I think they're quite funny I don't know who thinks that it is funny to impersonate me. I did NOT right this. Somebody needs to grow up. I am sorry, Great Bear, I did not right that. Posts deleted. Note to offender: It is very, very easy to figure out who you are and what computer you are using. Please, no more offenses. And don't impersonate any other members, including myself. Thank you.

I am positive that most of the regular visitors to the forum, know you well enough to realize that you didn’t make the post.
I am guessing that the idiot, who made all these posts in the first place, decided to try and defend them using your Id.
PS. Can you delete the other copies of his post from the Forum.

All posts deleted. If this happens again the guest's IP adress could most likely be banned. That's up to Thomas but I can say that it will be the most likely course of action.

What I guess was the same individual also posted two of these earlier on yesterday (which I deleted). I did look at the IP address but I did not seem to have saved it. We'll see if it repeats and then take action.
I also deleted a spam message a few days ago. If more of those turn up, we might have to allow only registred members to post, to make things a little harder for the spambots.
[Update: I did find the IP address in one post that was left behind. The same person has been here before it seems... Though the address appears to belong to a British ISP's web cacher/proxy, so a ban on it might hit innocents.]
[Update 2: Our Szallish friend has demonstrated his ability to post through other channels too, this time a UK university's web cacher/proxy.]

Letting registered users be the only ones to post is fine by me. After all, registration isn't really a pain, and it cuts down on this immature crap.

Well done Mr Wolmer
Very impressed by your ability to track me
If you can figure out who I am, I will personally complete the rest of the Lone Wolf series transcriptions, proofreading, etc (i.e. the donkey work) - if you think you can trust me
If you don't want to mess around with games, I shall stop leaving messages on the forum and leave you in peace.

What is the best way to report a "problem" post on this forum? I saw some spam (now deleted) on here a few days ago, plus this genius' attempts at humour, and was looking for a way to alert a moderator. I thought about sending a personal message to a moderator but none were online at the time.

I saw some spam (now deleted) on here a few days ago, plus this genius' attempts at humour, and was looking for a way to alert a moderator. I thought about sending a personal message to a moderator but none were online at the time. I have set up so that I get an email notification whenever I get a message here, so even if I am not marked online here I might notice it quite soon. I do sleep now and then though, and even leave my computer for several days in a row sometimes , so you can send both to me and Ronan (and, when applicable, outspaced) - we are in different timezones too. However, at least I try to have a quick look at the forum every once in a while when I am online, so if I am marked as such you'd normally not have to do anything, I will soon notice what's going on anyway. And BTW Mr Bungle, no, there'll be no games. I'm just applying the simple garbage ---> garbage can function here (and running the odd nslookup). Besides, the transcriptions & basic proofreading are done for all books now.

Hahaha, do you know how EASY it is to track somebody by their IP address when you are an admin? I am an admin on another forum and it takes virtually no time at all. Banning your computer from this site would take no time at all. Doomwolf - Feel free to email me about this any time. Someone (I forgot who) emailed me when 'Bungle' started posting messages with inproper and offensive words. I check up on the forum at least once a day. Thomas - Maybe guest restrictions would be in order. I have no problem with it. Like Kai Lord said, registration isn't that difficult.

Well done Mr Wolmer Very impressed by your ability to track me Is it just me or this dude thinks he is a bad guy from a James Bond movie? Anyway, that was pathetic...

Few Bond villans would call themselves 'Bungle' - surely that gives you a clue to the outfit you're dealing with.
I shall leave you in peace. There will never be a 'junk' post from me again
