I recently came across my old Lonewolf books when having a clean out and have decided to let someone else get some enjoyment from them.
What I would like to know is what sort of price I should be asking for them. I've had a quick look on ebay and couldn't see much on there, althogh from browsing around a few websites they seem quite sought after.
I've got most of the gamebooks and a complete set of the Legends series. They have been read a few times so have the usual signs of use.
Any useful info on how much I should be asking and where best to sell them would be most appreciated.
Appologies in advance if any of the above is against forum rules.

www.shirrok.com/LoneWolf/LWbooklinks.htmlI have approximate prices listed there. I've seen collections (such as 1-24,27 and 1-25) go for around $400-$500. It all depends on the buyer, and whether or not people are willing to pay that much at once (especially considering shipping costs). I've seen a complete Legends set go for around $200-300. Quite high considering only 3 of the books are rare. Listing them individually will draw in the buyers that need just a couple to complete their collection, but the downside is that you pay more in listing fees. KL, ebay watcher

Well, I would say don't sell them! I once stupidly sold my classic 3-in-1 Against the Giants AD&D module (original 80s pack) and I've been kicking myself ever since (and this was years ago). Or, if you really want to get rid of them, give them to a friend who can be trusted to hang onto them, just so that you can still read them occasionally or do some background research with them!

Thanks for the comments everyone. I think I will probably list the gamebooks by series and the rarer ones (thanks for letting me know which those are KaiLord), like book 25 by themselves. One quick question, I have the complete set of legends books, as some of those are rarer than others would I be better selling those individually or should I keep the set complete? BTW are there any rules against posting ebay links once I list them ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) Thanks again

I would not sell either. This is too sad... do you really need the money? Really? Really really? Okay, don't want to be an ass, but just keep in mind that you've got a brilliant collection that you may really miss someday.
As for the question: sell them as a whole, if you want simple.
For more money, sell them apart, each at a seperate value, with the rarer ones more expensive, and for a total combined amount that is higher than you would sell the entire collection as a whole for.

I look at is this way - I read/played all the books several times when I was younger and haven't looked at them for years. So rather than have the books buried in a box stuck in the attic, I would rather make a little money and have someone else get some enjoyment from them.
I'll probably post them on ebay in a week or two when I'm not as snowed under and I've got some time to take some pics, etc. (I'll put the links on this thread if thats OK).
Thanks again for all the info.

You can make someone else get the enjoyment without making money: keep the books in a box and wait until you get kids. This is what I'm planning to do: give my series to my kids (when I will get them). My grand-parents kept a lot of toys and books that were used by my father, and when I was younger, I was having so much fun with them. I would like my kids to have the same fun with my toys. Heck, I kept my mega collection of Lego just for them! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Ha ha! I've done the same, for the same reasons!
But there's collectors and then there's collectors. Some collect in order to eventually pass on, while others, like me, are major pack rats.
But Wibble, shouldn't you be selling the set as a whole, then? I think what's eating me alive is that this collection is going to be broken up over the course of many sales, and getting the books together again will be nigh impossible.

nobody beats me in being an idiot. didn't know how much lone wolf books are worth and sold my copy of gamebook 1-25 plus 2 novels for the price of less then 100USD in all. it really bad considering i could have gotten like 500 out of all of it. and i dont live in the US though. US currency is bigger then mine, so its like 500 * 1.6 = 800 Singapore Currency
