Hello First time poster here. I'm glad to see there are message boards dedicated to Magnamund nowadays. I've been a huge fan of the books since I first got Castle Death ages ago. Now, on to my question:
In some of the Grand Master Series books you can carry over the Silver Bracers. I've read through the series a few times and have yet to find them. I was wondering where they can be found and what they do. Also, why do you think it is they are allowed in 13 and 17 but not 15? Thanks for satisfying my curiosity.

nifty,
Here is a hint for those seeking the Silver Bracers (select text to reveal the answer):
SPOILERS:
Try looking for these on the high seas. Also make sure you have Curing - if I remember correctly, you need it to get the bracers. Also, try Book 12.

The first book I got was captives of Kaag. After playing it a few times, I began to wonder what the special items mentioned at the begining of the book were. So, I began to make up stats for them. I don't quite remember what they were, but the normal Sommerswerd was better than my "forged" Sommerswerd.

Ahhh....
Thanks. I've been searching as to where to find them for some time now. Oddly enough, they're in the book I was looking at today. Coincidence???

You know, I think there is going to be a conflict, with myself as NS and Niftysunburn as ns... I move that the usurper be hereby relegated to nsb NS.

There is only one way to resolve this... Mortal Kombat!!
OK guys, I'll need your Combat Skills, please.

Also, why do you think it is they are allowed in 13 and 17 but not 15? They are usable in all Grand Master books... I think this is a typo. There isn't any event in the story that forbids you using them in any adventure. Similar inconsistences regarding other items of the list, are present in other books, I remember... (except the Helshezag & Dagger of Vashna exclusion after book 16 of course )

Well North Star is an Archmaster, without Animal Control, but all the other non-Grand Disciplines. He does not have the Sommerswerd, for fairness's sake.

And I'll be the masked ninja that jumps down into the battlefield halway through the fight to give some message that instantly stops the fight and forms an uneasy alliance between the two warriors until the end of the film.
It will be something along the lines of... "the princess is in another castle."

Oh, I forgot to mention that my message would include a "PS" that would solve any issues regarding the Silver Bracers.
So... when's this fight occuring?

I have no idea. I have honourably challenged the honourless imposter to a duel, yet the yellow Naarson dog has not dared to take me up!
North Star, *not* getting overinvolved...

But... but your honor! It cannot be reconcilled in any other way! YOU MUST TASTE BLOOD... or a hundred virgin maidens. Yeah, that does wonders for my honor.

I see that we have a real duel between Zipp and North Star... Everytime one of you makes a post, the other one replies very fast. (For those who don't know what I'm talking about, check the thread about high posters in the General discussion section.) I wonder who will win?

Ah ha! I'll duel you too!
(No actually, since my book is coming along well, I've been pretty jubilent which equals MAD POSTING)
