Hello, just received the last Lone Wolf Book #28. Sadly the sections 1-40 are missing but the pages to #48 (history & disciplines) are inside twice Is this normal? There is only one edition so all books should be homogenous. Sure anyone else who owns this book can answer my question. Please help.

My own copy of The Hunger of Sejanoz is complete, not missing any numbered sections. The only problem is that it has an incorrect map (reprinted from #27: Vampirium), which I believe is the same in all copies available.

Are there duplicates out there? Or is it a really rare (one-time?) misprint? Sure thing there arent" all pages complete. (as promised) The first Section in Book is #41, the pages seems to begin with the rest of #40 (his entourage are usheredinside...) the page before there is a picture with a woman (javai"s mayoress...) the other 48 pages before are inside twice. Could you count how many pages are missing, Outspaced? (guessing it will be 48) What should i do now? I will write a mail to the seller. The book was really expensive so i am very sad now. I think i should arraign my Paypal Payment.

Either that or sell it to some collector. Misprints are very rare.
That's too bad though. Did you use ebay? I really hate ebay. These things are out there, though, you'll be able to get another one.

Yes.
I also don"t like Ebay, but there is no other way to get the books in germany.
Will be the best procedure. But i don"t like to have the disadvantage.
I will write a mail to the seller now.

I've bought books like that myself, where they've repeated whole sections. Fortunately, I was able to get replacements because they were brand new. Strangely, these errors don't always appear in batches, there might just be one or two with the missing/repeated pages. My own copy of Sejanoz is fine, and I think both Relenoir and Wytch-King (hey, WK, where are ya these days?) and probably others on this forum definitely have copies of the book that are complete.

They are called "batch misprints" or "botches" in publishing lingo. When you are printing hundreds of books, there is bound to be one or two that end up as misprints. Hard core collectors generally go for these, but they are only worth a lot in certain circles: like JD Salinger's work, or coin collections... not sure if lone wolf would qualify, being so cult. Wish I could help you out. Try going to a rare book finder, they can, if worse comes to worse, contact the publisher and pay to have one book printed out special for ya. Course it costs like a hundred dollars (US). I did that with the Maganamund Companion.

Thanks for your information. This really helps me alot. Good to know i wasn"t paranoid checking each single page after received the other 27 books before. I think so too I "m astonished that not the last 48 pages are missing. Email to the seller is out.

Is out? You mean they didn't respond? That's considered illegal. Who sold it to you? If they didn't mention that it's a misprint in their description, then they are liable and have to refund you. It's a crime.

Mine is fine as I am reading it now, no problems yet! WK doesn't have #28 btw, I know this for a fact. BC, Deiseach, and maybe NS do, I think.

Didn"t get an answer yet, but there is a big time shift. I don"t believe the seller acts in bad intention. May be he just haven"t see the fault. The description was: Awful there are two clean gamesheets in this book.

Well remembered, Relenoir - I'm shocked! Yes, I have 21-24 and 28. I'm sure that my copy is fine though (I looked at it not so long ago). NS. Edit: Not sure that this helps, but I picked up my copy completely by chance in a secondhand bookshop for only £5!

Lucky one! German translations only goes up to book 12. As young boy i always went to the book store looking for new lone wolf books ... but no new books at the store. :-( I remember exactly the book shelves. So i determined to close the lone wolf area. Two weeks of my holiday, painting big posters with every possible way for the lone wolf. Years later (2000) i have looked into google. But still i have found nothing about lone wolf books. Google wasn"t big enough these days. Back to my Book #28: The seller already answered (found it in my spamfilter) and excuses he haven"t look into the book. He is on holidays for the next 2 weeks but he will refund the money then.

Gee. What a specious argument. Hold onto him!
And I've just checked in my copy of Book 28. The blurb from the pre-book stuff up to paragraph 1 is 62 pages. The internal map (not even on the inside front cover) is of Bhanar and the Chai Autocracy.
NS.
