I'm too busy pushing through my own demi-god status. (Who'd'a thunk Heaven was such a bureaucracy?)

One day many years from now, Joe Dever, Gary Chalk, Paul Barnette(sp)/John Grant, and the others who've written about the world of Aon, will be remembered as demi-gods. I myself think they already are demi-gods. Who's with me? Anyone? HW As much as I love Lone Wolf and Magnamund, I think maybe you're going a little far with the hero worship, HuntingWolf. Especially as concerns Chalk and Grant (Chalk didn't actually do any writing, and in my opinion Grant did more to hurt Magnamund than help it). Joe Dever and Ian Page are definitely worthies, and deserve to be lauded and credited for their amazing work, but I'm not looking to die for them any time soon.

HW Unfortunately, I can honestly say that Dever's work, while it has it's niche, is nowhere near as large as say Lord of the Rings or Author Conan Doyle, or Agatha Cristie, or probably even Stephen King. As much as he deserves it, in some of the above cases more than those authors, the truth is, Lone Wolf just hasn't reached world wide fame yet. Not to say that it ever won't. Also, feel free to worship who you will. The most important thing to a God is believers, so you might as well get started in on the believing. But be aware there's some stiff competition up there. I mean, you got Odin, Thor, Buddha, Alah, etc. in the God status, and Hercules, Orion, Guan Yu, Momotaro, [good], and me in the Demi-god arena.

We can't say Yeshua bin Yusef's Xristian name on here? You've got to be [excrement]ing me!

Hey, it ain't our fault! It's the default Proboards settings that seem to blank out 50% of the words in the English language. I can understand some--this forum could be visited by minors who are Lone Wolf fans but who wouldn't want to see tons of profanities everywhere--but sometimes it gets rather tedious. Play nicely, now.

I hadn't realized the boards were so intolerant by default. I mean, I curse liberally, and it's a bad habit, but it seems they're editing a lot of words unnecessarily. I think you're right, and it's just in the habit of deleting half of the words in common English. The boards must be French by design or something.

Is this some obscure discrimination joke I'm not privvy to? How are the French intolerant of bad language? They invented half of the best swear words in history.

It's typical nationalistc discrimination. The Americans get to slag off the Canadians, Mexicans and Native Americans; us British get to slag off the French, Germans and Irish! NS.

I' never kept up with discrimination, too time consuming. Well then Dusk Fox is out of his bounds, since he's American. It's typical nationalistc discrimination. Okay, here's an example of that problem I was talking about, where clicking on the smiley bar causes my post to double.

Well, I'm not British, but no--it wasn't discrimination, at least not in a general sense. The French (government, at least) have shown a distaste for the use of English as the standard on the Internet, and occasionally make (weak) attempts at inserting more words and terms (or at least alternatives) for Francophones online, such as renaming "email" (thought to be too Anglo-centric) to "courreil" (which even most Francophones eschew).
So, not a discrimination against the French for some obscure distaste for foul language. More a joke at the expense of the French movement to remove the monopoly of English on the Internet. Sorry, sort of obscure.

Oh, I see. Sort've like the Americans renaming French Fries "Freedom Fries?"

I make no excuses for that southern fried retardation. It is an embarrassment. But at least it was against something being French rather than against something being in the language of those who invented the Internet.
