Hey,
Anyone ever notice that Cadak from book 13 looks alot like David Caradine from Kung-Fu and Kill Bill 2 fame? If "The Plague Lords of Ruel" was ever made into a movie, he'd be perfect for the role.
Any other similarities in other books to real world movie stars you guys notice?

Gnaag could be played by Jeff Goldblum
I'll get my coat...

It's seldom that I laugh audibly when reading something, but I must admit...that did it. The thing is, I forgot about him being in The Fly, so I just pictured him "as is". And, well, he could still pass as Gnaag. I've often felt that a lot of Chalk's male characters bore a bit of a resemblance to Christopher Walken. KL

Who should be King Ulnar? Sean Connery? ;D
Actually scratch that. I just remembered that King Ulnar was only in his early forties.

Heh! Fun game.
I nominate Vonotar to be played by Jack Palance so he can overact as brilliantly as he did in Hawk the Slayer!

I always though Danny Devito would make a great captain of the port watch in Port Bax.

If it's based on Legends instead of the gamebook series, Keanu Reeves would be a perfect Banedon.
"Whoa, I'm an incompetent wizard . . ."
"Whoa, look at this tapestry . . ."
etc.

I kind of could picture The Undertaker as Seb Jarel, except without the tattoos and the Harley. Maybe James Earl Jones as the voice of Darklord Haakon. Sean Connery as Lord Rimoah. Definitely agree about Cadak and David Carradine. The Crocodile Hunter as Darklord Zagarna. Mickey Mouse and friends as the Noodnics. Lucy Lawless as Viveka. Michael Jackson as Quinefer. . . or maybe not.

You guys are terrible lol. How about.. um... Frankie Muniz as Lone Wolf, Daniel Radcliffe as Banedon, hm.... Jeff Goldblum as Gnaag the fly, Qinefer I'm not sure about.... remember, Vonotar is a young man at the beginning, so no Jack P there..... Heck I'm stumped on the rest.

And of course, ME as Lone Wolf. I've been playing the role for years - I call dibs! (Hey, at least it would save us from having to endure Vin Diesel)

I think that LW is blond and I know that Banedon is also blond. I'm not a fan of wigged stars when we KNOW that they have differently-coloured hair!

Well, Lone Wolf definitely has a Matt Damon profile on some of the covers, though he looks more like Christian Bale on the cover of Shadow on the Sand. Vonatar looks like Gilbert Godfrey on the cover of the Caverns of Kalte (or maybe a young William Hickey... or Martin Short). Not that I recommend casting any of these people (I haven't given it enough thought). I'm just saying.

My brother ( the legendary Moondancer) has called dibs on directing the films, a trilogy ofcause, Episode One covers Books 1 to 5, finding the Book of Magnakai is a warm fussy ending, Episode Two covers Books 6 to 9, the fight with Kimah the penultimate clash ( after intro in Film One) and Episode Three covers Books 10 to 12. And there-you-have-it. Now if we could only find someone to fund this little project....( and I'm cast as Lonewolf... except LW isn't middle-aged and a moody bastard in any of the books... hang on he is moody in some of the novels, I wonder... and by the way there is NO Q*******, that would irritate me, lots..

No, there needs to be a Qinefer (why the hell do you people type Q******? Dear Naar that's annoying). She'll be some bit-part background peasant played by Jennifer Lopez who picks up an axe and starts getting all mouthy about killing Drakkarim, and then she'll get eaten by a Kraan. This is far more satisfying than not having a Qinefer in the film.
