Just imagine! New Line Cinema are putting up oodles of cash to tell the story on Lone Wolf in 100 two-hour TV episodes, each with a budget equivalent to the GNP of a small country. They've even invented a time machine that can cross dimensions and even realities to bring actors, personalities, even fictional characters from any point in the past, the future, or from any point in their careers. And YOU are the one casting the movie! Who would you cast as whom? This thread is in response to a rather messed-up IRC thread between myself and The Wytch-King, who has recently had broadband installed in Shadaki. We both agreed that in the film version of The Lorestone of Varetta, Lone Wolf must be played by B-Movie actor extraordinaire Bruce Campbell, specifically the scene in the graveyard.

[...] a rather messed-up IRC thread between myself and The Wytch-King [...] Aye, wherever we are, Chaos rules! *gleeful chuckle* The Wytch-King, who shall watch this thread with great interest ... and maybe even add his two Nobles later on

That's Perfect!!! I was actually thinking of a younger Bruce Campbell as an older Lone Wolf, only with better lines, I hope. . . How about Angelina Jolie as Viveka? Meow!

I also think [heavens]opher Walken could be a good Isle of Ghosts Roark. Hey, yeah! Absolutely! He's got that maniacal gleam in his eyes that suggests someone into the forbidden arts. Like the other choices, too. Thanks for posting links to headshots of them, 'cos I wouldn't've had a clue what they look like otherwise! If we're taking ideas from the Legends series as well, how about John Gielgud (c. 1990) to play the crabby gestalt of Lone Wolf and the Sommerswerd's collective consciousness? Lone Wolf enters the Tomb of the Majhan and finds the secret chamber . . . only to be faced by three books. On the voyage back from Durenor, the Death Hulk fleet is spotted. The men begin to despair. Lone Wolf climbs up to the crow's nest and shouts: "We can take these deadites, we can take 'em . . . with magic!" How about an amusing interlude after retrieving the Sommerswerd. Banedon and Lone Wolf travel to Cloeasia to seek an audience with Zultan Guldarra, but it appears he's only interested in women. To enter his court, Lone Wolf and Banedon dress as women, but they get captured for the Zultan's harem. While in there, whilst trying to avoid being defrocked they meet a young singer called Qinefer who wants to make it big. She speaks in a Marilyn Monroe-esque 1950s affected kooky way, has a permanent pout, and wears clingy and revealing clothes. Episode could be called: "Lone Wolf - Men In Drag"! ;D

Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers, Tarzan) for Lone Wolf. Sean Connery for King Ulnar of Sommerlund It would have to be the James Bond Sean Connery; Ulnar's only in his 40s at the beginning of the series.

Nah, that guy is too old. I could see the guy who played Robert the Bruce as Ulnar, though. The guy who played Edward I would have to be the King of Durenor, who's much older at the beginning of the series.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo! I always 'see' her as being older, having a real presence. Oh yeah! Connery's gotta be in these movies somewhere! I always saw Paido as less stocky, but . . . y'know, that might just work! Or, how about a younger Morgan Freeman? Maybe . . . maybe. I was thinking perhaps comedy actor Simon Pegg from Shaun of the Dead. . . Hmm . . . maybe, though my own favourite for the part would be Zoe Saldana (http://uk.imdb.com/name/nm0757855/ she played Anamaria in Pirates of the Caribbean . . . rrrrRRRRaooowww! ;D) Joaquin Phoenix? Isn't he a bit too . . . foppish? And maniacal? He's a good 'psycho' actor, though. Heh! I like it! They'd have to turn in the peformances of their careers, though. Interesting . . . How about Michael Clarke Duncan (http://uk.imdb.com/name/nm0003817/) as High-Mayor Kordas of Casiorn? And wooden actor Orlando Bloom as Sabre Fox.

I think Gilbert Gottfried could be a good post-Doomstone Warlord Magnaarn. Has just the right combination of unfortunate looks and that whiny voice which has to come from the Plane of Darkness.
