I'm getting an image of Marty Feldman as Vonotar. Thoughts? Only if you cast the Guildmaster of the Brotherhood of the Crystal Star as Peter Cook and Carag as Dudley Moore

That was hilarious. And absolutely perfect, too. KL

Viggo might be a bit too old for acting as Lone Wolf...although he has the talent.

Viggo might be a bit too old for acting as Lone Wolf...although he has the talent. And we could have Lone Wolf singing in Ice Barbarian-ese whilst wandering through Ikaya. Since you can have any actor from any point in their career, a young Viggo might be OK for Lone Wolf, sure; I'd be willing to accept it. The Wytch-King made a good point about Vonotar: if you look at Gary Chalk's illustration of him in LW#3 when he's getting entangled by the vines, he looks like . . . Richard O' Brian. I can see that. Lone Wolf having to solve a puzzle to enter the Brummalmarc's chamber, Vonotar playing his harmonica in the background and waspishly calling, "Time's ticking away, Wolfie!!" ;D Or: Lone Wolf, finally having defeated the Villains of Sommerlund, stands on the brink of the Shadow Gate. He draws his sword and steps towards Vonotar, who suddenly begins to sing the Time Warp, and Lone Wolf has to resist his evil magic or dance along with him!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!! ;D

I'd say Rowan Atkinson as Carag. "You . . . entering . . . most safest . . . place . . . in Darklands . . . is." [Sounds of explosion in the background.] Actually, for younger, pre-curse Vonotar, I'd say Rowan Atkinson (c. Blackadder II) might be rather good.

Well, a wizard has to have his hobbies ... Nothing's as fearsome as a spell-caster with too much time on his hands! The Wytch-King, who remembers that unfortunate Forest of Sadi affair

I was just watching Stuck on You last night, and I do believe that Matt Damon looks a bit like the Corben portrayals of Lone Wolf, especially on the cover of TKoT. As for Banedon, David Wenham (Faramir from LotR) would suit me nicely. And for Rimoah, Leonardo Cimino (V, Dune (the baron's doctor)) with a full beard would look fitting. And you'd have to throw Christopher Walken in as many secondary roles as possible, because he looks like he was drawn by Gary Chalk. KL

That might work, though I've only seen him with a beard in Return of the King. He'd have to shave for the part of Banedon. Yeah, I can only agree. Maybe Johnny Depp could do a good Lone Wolf, especially if he puts on an English accent like in Pirates of the Caribbean! Brian Glover (Kes, Alien3) could play the part of the tavernkeeper in Ragadorn, I think. Maybe Brotherhood Guildmaster played by Stephen Fry? Loi-Kymar played by Alec Guinness? (The force is strong in this Kai Lord! ) Alyss played by Jaye Davidson (who played Dil in The Crying Game ;D )?

Saw David Wenham in the movie Van Helsing...he looks and acts the part of a nerdy and bookish friar...he should shave more and then he could be Banedon... Oh yeah, he does not die, since "Numenoreans" need to die by being shot three times...

Have to say: having just heard the winner of Eurovision this year I wouldn't mind Ruslana from Ukraine doing some of the music for a Lone Wolf TV movie series! She could even appear if she agrees to wear that leather outfit again!! ;D

Thought I'd resurrect this thread after this weekend. I bought the remastered DVD of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and Ennio Morricone's score is absolutely stunning! I'm not sure quite where a mariachi band could fit into Magnamund, but his music is incredible, and I think any Lone Wolf film could benefit from it! The Ecstasy of Gold, played while Tuco is maniacally running around the graveyard searching frantically for the grave of Arch Stanton, literally had me on the edge of my seat! And The Trio, played during the famous three-way gunfight at the end helps raise the tension to almost unbearable levels.
(On another note, the remastered version is FAR superior to the previously released DVD; both the sound and picture quality far outstrips any version ever released--even the original theatrical release! The re-addition of several previously deleted scenes allow the film to flow more easily, and it is now less jarring when characters reappear onscreen after an absence since it is now more obvious what they have been doing.)

Well, we could always sign them as the traveling minstrels in "The Chasm of Doom." Guess you have unpleasant memories of this instructor. How nice!
