The second letter is an 'a', and the second from last letter is an 'a'.

Oh, okay, here I was starting to think it was Zipp. ;D (Zantaz, wasn't it?)

Nice try Zipp, but Peregrine gets the answer: Zantaz it is! Okay Peregrine, your turn. Hit us with a good question, alright? ;D

Yeah I knew "Zaaz" wouldn't cut it, but it does get kudos for being a palindrome.

Not having read any books after #16 I almost guessed "Zejanoz" (before Ghost Bear gave the 'a' hint, obviously). I'm glad I didn't now! Never heard of Zantaz - sounds like an anti-anxiety drug.

Figures, that the Drakkarim would worship Prozac, although I always saw them as more Advil munchin hounds.

Zejanoz is an interesting guess, but you're thinking of a villain mentioned in book 23 who appears in books 27 and 28, the Autarch Sejanoz. Very clever guess though, especially for not having read the later books! Zantaz/Zantac, I guess they do sound a bit alike. ;D Drakkarim could have used less Zantaz and more Zantac, I suppose. He's one nasty fella!

He's one nasty fella! All I know about Sejanoz is in the title of Book 28. Apparently he's hungry. Although I guess this is more "bent on global domination" than "could really use a cheese sandwich." As for the Zantaz/Zantac thing I am often spammed by people wanting to sell me Zantax, which sounds even more like it!

I wonder if Peregrine ditched us on the question... maybe he's just thinking up a really good one.
You know, if someone thinks of a question, I would just jump in here and ask it, since we haven't heard from Peregrine.
Actually, I've got one, in case anyone wants to take a stab (Peregrine, if I just stole your turn, feel free to steal it back):
In the LW (not NO) series, how many books does a Zahkan appear in?

Quite an interesting one, Zipp. I believe the answer is ** SPOILERS: **two. Zakhan Kimah appears in Book 5 and Book 9, and the Black Zakhan's statue appears in Book 7. Zakhan Moudalla (?) never actually appears, though his Emissary persuades King Ulnar to send you to Vassagonia before he's murdered by Kimah.

Quite right, Outspaced. Though you answered it a bit backwards (I asked for number of books, not number of Zahkans), it is indeed the right answer. SPOILERS The statue was the tricky one. I'm a big fan of questions with a catch like that. Technically, some would say that book 20 counts as another one, since the souls of the slain appear here. Isn't there another book where this occurs as well? But since a Zahkan isn't mentioned in any other books, the prize goes to you!
Okay, unless Peregrine comes back I do believe it is your turn Outspaced.

Hmph. Would have had it, including the Zakhan statue puzzle, but I was already on my way to school at the time. Nice one Outspaced!

In the LW (not NO) series, how many books does a Zahkan appear in? Outspaced said 2, but the answer is actually 3, unless you don't count the statue as a real Zakhan but as a statue.
