Yeah, I just found the one in castle death. I'm not sure if you lose it or not, but in book 11 or 12 it can be used (optionally, it doesn't actually help.)

The talisman of Ishir is useful in Book 18...
If you don't have Grand Nexus or a Platinum Amulet, it can be used to save you from the heat of the Plane of Darkness.
Also I'm pretty sure (though I can't remember the source of this information) that the Pouch of Herbs is actually Adgana (seen in Book 12).

I see I'm not the only one who likes to keep zillions of seemingly useless objects at the monastery...I like to think of it as helping future generations of Kai Lords...

In book 2, I was never able to understand this: while you're travelling by sea to Port Bax, you talk to the captain about the fire that was set aboard. After this you are left alone in his room and can try to open a box, risking your life to find a message. You can keep the message and it is the clear evidence that the captain is a fxxxing traitor. But you take no advantage of this, since the story goes on as you never found it! You get an object that could be very useful, but never have the occasion to use it at all!

You're right! I had a look and saw that in the original version it's not like I said before! That's one big mistake of the italian version, I'm sure that any italian guy on this forum can confirm what I said!

Damn, the series has been plagued by misprintings, abridgments, zombies, and misinterpretations, ain't it?

I would off that Kelman, just to be sure.
Then again, I did. He was a Zombie at the time, but still.

RamasKnight, would you be willing to type in an english translation of the text you described? I for one would find it SO interesting!

Sorry men, I was wrong! I checked it out and found that the italian version is actually as the english one... I'm so sorry, I just can't explain why I was so sure of what I said. I was so sure of what I said that for half an hour I have been thinking it was a Matrix error... I promise I'll always check in the future before giving a false alarm!!!

Don't worry, I think that the needle trap and undead Kelman's behaviour together could have led anyone to misremember that passage, if a lot time passed since the last reading of FotW.

I personally never suspected the captain. Doesn't the traitor bail, besides? In a longboat or something ? I'm sorry, I've read book 2 like fifty times, and while it's good it's probably the one with the least choices, too. I mean, it is the ONLY one I can think of that can leave you scvrewed with no options if you give up the fscking [canvas].
MODIFIER: What the hell? I typed in [canvas] and got [spear]
MODIFIER 2: okay, who's [fudge]ing with the swearing system?
MODIFIER 3: what was that thing everyone was saying about not being able to type christopher, by the way?

Why do Proboards have such overzealous auto-censors? At least one board thought "s-p-o-o-n" was a bad word...
