Went thru the Autumn Snow adventure and had a good time with it. It felt like Magnamund, but not as Lone Wolf, which should be the intent. Had some good ROTF moments in the writing, where it certainly felt like you were approaching the problem as a female kai vs the all powerful LW. It was a good engaging adventure.

Given this news about the Autumn Snow books, the latest entry on Dave Morris' Fabled Lands blog has a distinctly Magnamund flavour. Fabled Lands: Chalk Giant

I'm back on the project Aon board... My last post here was exactly 10 years ago when I announced the start of work on a Lone Wolf Online videogame... Long time!! Mikael, former CEO of Magnamund Studio and now GM of Megara for the past 7 years. Wow, I remember playtesting that (and submitting a few bug reports about falling through the landscape and walking through tiny gaps under castle walls). I'm certainly hoping this new project for Autumn Snow goes well and I'll definitely be donating some of my hard scrounged cash towards it. Probably nearer the deadline 'though as that way I'll be able to offer more .

As finances improve, I expect to back it as well. This sort of effort must be encouraged.

Got my book this week. It is a very nice tome indeed. I need to find a couple of hours to sit down and play through it - flipping work, bloomin' Christmas!

Nope nothing special. I got an email about a week before the book arrived to say it was on the way.

Megara publish it, but it isn't available in their webstore yet: www.megara-entertainment.com/EDIT: just to add, in a recent Kickstarter update, they said, "Matters have progressed since Mikaël's initial announcement, and there have been two printings. The first printing, the "Megara Collector's edition" if you will, has a spine consistent with other Megara books.
On Joe Dever's request, the second printing has its own special spine and back cover. Both printings have the same content inside. The first printing has sold out, and this second printing will be available in January when the printer re-opens after the holidays.
A third printing is planned to be funded in its own dedicated Kickstarter project which hopefully will reach even more people. It may be called the "revised edition," but it, too, will have the same content inside with at most some layout changes, so it will be the same game no matter when you buy it."

Is this still available in electronic format or just the expensive physical re-release? I've never heard of this before and am very curious.
On a side-note, Megara *really* need to team up with someone like Tin Man Games to make awesome digital versions of their gamebook releases! Their KS campaigns I've been part of so far where electronic versions were offered were PDF only and don't even have hyperlinks!

Anyone know if the 3rd edition has any changes or updates that the others did not have?

Anyone know if the 3rd edition has any changes or updates that the others did not have? Yeah there was. From memory it was very minor things like a couple of typos corrected and a few of the pictures edited. I think the map was made a little better as well or something. Probably the better version to buy if you've not already got it.

Received my copy and the book is very firm and well bound together. It also has an expensive “touch” to it like the collector’s editions do. I’m happy with the product. It was a good read and gave a different perspective to the lone wolf world. This is exactly how to get new readers involved and how to flesh out the lone wolf universe. I hope to see more of this in the future.
I feel the issue is the artwork, the cover artwork say it all. Gary Chalk the same guy who did all the Lone wolf original artwork back in the 80s. Now this seems great to “purist” lone wolf fan, and I get that. But, after seeing how good the collector edition artwork can be, Gary Chalk artwork looks archaic, looks old.
I would like to see a fresh and current interpretation of what lone wolf, autumn snow and other characters would look like. This would also bring in “newer” readers as looking at old artwork from an “older” artist is not something that reels in the new generation. But, who knows, maybe that’s what the current lone wolf fan base wants, old style artwork from an original artist post 30 years. Thoughts?
