Anyone know what was announced at Lucca regarding LW30 (or anything else Lone Wolf related)?

Meh... Indeed, new information on this are rare. What I found out on various Italian websites is that book 30 will only come out in one year and will be launched at the next Lucca Comics & Games convention... A cover by Alberto Dallago was also revealed but I haven't found it online yet.
Books 31 and 32 will be launched in the same manner, at the Lucca Comics & Games, in 2019 and 2020.

Thanks for the update Black Cat!
Meh indeed though... I was really hoping they were going to drop some serious news like a holiday (2017) release. Even just getting book 23 out would have been awesome. I’m sure putting books 30-32 together is a difficult and time-consuming task, but I really don’t understand the hold up in releasing the remaining collector’s editions of the existing work, or for that matter reprinting the existing collector’s editions. Those books routinely sell for $100usd or more on Ebay, so clearly demand exists. Oh well, looks like another year of waiting before something even possibly happens.

Great looking cover, I can’t wait to read this. Hope that they keep to their release schedule, but most of all I hope Ben is up to the task of finishing his father’s work. Take the time you need to make it awesome, Ben!

Italian fans at Librogame's Land ( www.librogame.net/) attended the last Lucca Comics & Games convention and published a webzine about what they have learned. I used Google Translate for the translation. -In 'Dead in the Deep', the NO GM will be charged to rescue his colleague Steel Hand who has been captured in the Maakengorge by the forces of darkness during his mission in book 29. Undead creatures and lava pits will be part of the adventure. -While Joe had the time to outline book 30 before his death, he only had time to make a synopsis for the last two volumes. That means that Vincent Lazzari and Ben DeVere will have to create from almost A to Z all the events for books 31 and 32. -All three books will be published in the next three years, in November 2018, 2019 and 2020 respectively. -A little surprise: book 32 will have 551 sections, just one more than the new book 1.

How the [fudge] do they know the last book will have a precise 551 sections if nothing's written yet?

How the [fudge] do they know the last book will have a precise 551 sections if nothing's written yet? Well, since they are going to write it and since it was Joe's will to have a book with 551 sections, they will make it happen somehow. If the authors said it will have 551 sections, it will have 551 sections! But I will let Vincent confirm all this by himself.

Well done Blackcat (and congrats for having guessed before the announcement the synopsis of book 30 ^^).
I confirm every information you obtained from Librogame's Land's article. Indeed, as said during the talk in Lucca, it was one of Joe's last wishes Book 32 to have 551 sections, with a very special 551st section (to have more sections than the expanded book 1), bringing a conclusion to the LW saga. So we will do our best to satisfy this specific wish... I must admit, not an easy task (but 551 sections won't be superfluous to address all the things which will have to be said in the last books).
Ah, and for book 32, Joe described and explained in details how the last scenes and confrontations must unfold, he had a very clear idea how the saga has to be completed. Epic!
Apart from this I'm delighted fans seem to love the cover, Alberto really rocks!
Once we are ready and have agreed with Raven/vincent books, we will publish a more detailed synopsis for book 30.

"You enter the dungeon under the Kai monastery, you see the shadow of a man at the table, he looks like Banedon... but you have seen this before and it has been a helghast, what do you do? You assume it is a helghast, hit him with Sommerswerd! turn to 103 You believe it is Banedon, you greet him and put out your hand, turn to 551" hmmm difficult one

Right, so, Ben posted today on his father's Facebook page a huge update of what is coming for Lone Wolf and Magnamund in general. Most of the information is the same than what I have already posted in this thread. However, we get new details regarding book 23, the Autumn Snow series and other things. Check out the full post here: linkI am a little bit concerned about the fact that Holmgard Press doesn't seem to be the future publisher of the LW gamebooks. It seems, from Ben's post, that they are looking for yet another publisher for the English version of the books. I do hope they will find a solution very soon.

What's wrong with Holmgard Press not being the publisher? Are you worried about rights retention or time span for publishing or something else?

What's wrong with Holmgard Press not being the publisher? Are you worried about rights retention or time span for publishing or something else? It means that we might not see book 30 in English next year, or ever for that matter, until they get a new publisher. Italians and Germans seem to have a publisher for their respective language (and French too), but without a publisher for the English version, what are the odds for readers to get a complete set of revised gamebooks?
