Preemptive bug report: Someone got one of the new Hardcore awards when they shouldn't have

new version (1.24.0): starting book 21 always instantly crashes the program. Can't start a NO campaign from book 21. Happened both on BtB and Prodigy.
previous version: on hardcore EP boosting equipment like the Helmet or the Chainmail don't give their EP bonus. When losing this equipment however, it subtracts those EP from the max EP. Ouch!

This one is confusing for me. So, only happens on Hardcore, and removal works as expected? The fact that losing EP works but not gaining is weird since it is the same function that deals with that.

Thanks for fixing the image problem. Nevertheless, even with version 1.24.0, when I am in the Equipment section of "Castle Death", doesn't matter which part of the Action Chart I click, the program crashes... Is it consistent, in all books? Also on a new campaign? Basically, where *isn't* it happening? Since there is nothing special about the Castle Death equipment section. If clicking on the Action Chart is what causes the crash then I have an idea (then it would work on a new campaign so try that). Actually I had never experienced it before, and I had played with book 21, 22, 13, and 1-7. Just an addition: when I was in that equipment section, it did not crash immediately by clicking on the Action Chart, but when I was switching from one element from the other of the chart (for example, from backpack to weapons and to awards, and then crashed). I have just tried to create a new profile, made a fresh start on Castle Death, just to try if it was not happening in a new campaign, but it occurred! (Interestingly, when I restarted Seventh Sense afterwards, that profile had disappeared ) Then I made again a new profile, started with Jungle of Horrors, and the issue did not occur... A couple of more observations linked to new profile creation: - I was asked to download the books, even if I had downloaded them already with another profile - I could see the awards I had already gained (but are the awards profile-based? Or this is my misunderstanding?)

Or that you got a prompt when trying to start a book? Awards are cross-profile nowadays, if that's what you're asking.

I have tried again now, with the second profile created, and it did not happen; so it does not seem consistent... Regarding the downloads: I both saw the download button, and I got the prompt. But however, I have tested to create another profile, and this one recognizes the book I had downloaded before (with the second profile, not the first still). Can it be that the visibility is linked to the latest version downloaded? Thank you for the clarification on the awards!

Slightly worrying about the html files not being recognized, even if you can just download them again. Thanks for reporting that, will look at it.

This one is confusing for me. So, only happens on Hardcore, and removal works as expected? The fact that losing EP works but not gaining is weird since it is the same function that deals with that. I only noticed it on hardcore, I think the other modes are fine. I noticed it with the chainmail, when I lost it in book 2 and suddenly had only 19 max EP. Then in a new run I got the Helmet in book 1 and noticed it didn't increase my EP and when I dropped it, it also lowered my max EP by 2.

One way that happens is if you pick starting Equipment before picking your stats. Ancient bug which I didn't bother fixing. Based on your description that's not what happened though. In any case, the fact that it decreases EP but not the other way is so obscure that I don't even know where to look. If you can reproduce it then tell me as much detail as possible.

Actually, that might be it! I remember restarting book 1 a lot to get my desired weaponskill, and only picking my stats last, even after equipment. EDIT: custom mode, always crashes when transitioning from book 1 to book 2.

No, it was on 1.24.0. I didn't realize there was a new version already.

Just started the Grand Master series and my CS doesn't benefit from Weaponmastery. Weaponmastery was my last Magnakai discipline chosen but I selected sword, bow and dagger yet it is not giving me any bonus for sword (but dagger oddly is working...haven't started the book yet to test to see if bow works).
I have Weaponskill with sword and I was getting that CS bonus in book 12 but lost the bonus in book 13.
EDIT: Now I fixed it. What had happened was when I went to pick my weapons for Weaponmastery, I didn't realize I was actually picking weapons for Grand Weaponmastery instead (which I didn't select as a discipline, so didn't imagine I would be able to choose weapons for). I chose sword and bow and then was like, huh, why is it only letting me pick two weapons? Then noticed I was on Grand Weaponmastery weapons and switched to Weaponmastery and picked sword and bow and dagger.
So to fix it I selected Grand Weaponmastery as a discipline and then unselected it. That "cleared" my Grand Weaponmastery weapon selections and I then had my Weaponmastery bonus for both sword (and presumably bow).

Ah, that's an ancient bug with the progression to Grand Master, it seems. Shows how many people *don't* pick Weaponmastery. Fixed.
