I thought I'd create a new thread for bug reports, so as not to clutter the other thread intended for infos and releases.
Hardcore: when progressing to book 6, you are allowed to choose all five initial disciplines at once, when you only should be able to choose three.
Hardcore, book 8, section 60: the check if you posses the SS is wrong. I didn't have it (not even in storage), but it checked positive. Very ugly because then you have to fight the strong version of the Helghast without the SS. I had the Jewelled Mace equiped, if it matters. Other SS checks in the book worked correctly.
Hardcore, book 10: EP are not restored from book 9! I started with only 7...
Prodigy, book 15, section 236: you may restore 3 EP. If you do, all options get greyed out, can't progress. If you skip the 3 EP you can progress.
General: the special items Platinum Amulet (book 7), Golden Amulet and Green Mask (both book 12) can never be dropped or even deposited, which is just annoying, especially when progressing to GM in hardcore with the special item limit.

I thought I'd create a new thread for bug reports, so as not to clutter the other thread intended for infos and releases. Intended. Interesting. Project Aon footnoted this section back in the day, that the Jewelled Mace / Magic Spear should be usable in lieu of the Sommerswerd, as so it was made in Seventh Sense back then by Dave. Funny enough, I actually reported that footnote as an error to Project Aon, based on the wording of the text in the subsequent section, and it was reverted. So long story short, indeed the Jewelled Mace should not be used there. I was perhaps too eager to allow people to still play Hardcore during this intermediate period. This is one of the new mechanics, where your Endurance is not fully restored on Hardcore between select books (if there is less than one day passed between them). That code is in place but not the message box that tells the player about it! Ultimately not a bug, though. Hmm. This was actually found and fixed by myself already a couple of days ago. I can only guess that you don't have the latest version (I don't make new posts for the point releases, but the download link in the first post is updated). Otherwise its slightly worrying that you have this bug. I have to think. You are right. Normally I make undroppable items droppable again after they are no longer needed. In that case I did not bother since the Golden Amulet and Green Mask are removed anyway coming into the Grand Master series, but again I did not account for Prodigy where you have all items.

It's all good, I encountered this bug in an earlier version and just had not reported it until now and didn't bother risk trying it again. Should be working then.
The thought had crossed my mind that the "no EP restoration" might be a feature. Could be interesting!

Just a few small things: - book 19, section 160: "if you have ever visited the graveyard of ancients" doesn't check positive. I have definitely visited it in book 1. - in book 18 there is a bridge toll and it asks if you have I think 3 crowns but it doesn't subtract them. Sorry, don't remember the section. - speaking of crowns, money in storage regularly gets deleted between books. Doesn't matter much, becuase money is pretty much worthless, but will be problematic for the collecting awards. - a strange and inconsistent bug when switching weapons mid-combat. I enter a battle with say Helshezag or a two-handed weapon and want to switch on the second round. One equipment change per round is allowed. But sometimes it says this one change is already used up, and other times, with the same circumstances it works. This very much discourages using Helshezag on the first round, becuase if you can't switch you lose permanent EP. But apart from these very minor things, books 18 and 19 worked very well on a first playthrough!

I am somewhat surprised that switching weapons during combat is permitted. It feels to me as though you would get killed during the time it would take to do so, sort of like drinking a potion during combat.

If I remember correctly it used to be banned, but Dave allowed it in case you were stuck with an ineffective weapon against Helghasts / Darklords. I tend to agree with you though, and will consider disallowing it. That would get rid of the weird Helshezag interaction also.

Can you give some steps to reproduce? Not sure about the weapon switching thing. There are some weird interactions with the Helshezag or the Shield which are deliberate, and which I could clear up at some point, but I don't think it is bugged. If you really find something which seems to be inconsistent though, explain the situation again and I will look into it.

The money: I usually store some money every book (even though it's totally not necessary). I first noticed that my stored Lune and Kika were missing and first thought maybe they got converted to Crowns. But then, like every other book, my stored Crowns were at zero, and I know I had stored some. I noticed this mostly during the MK books, I think GM was fine, but not sure.
Weapon switching: I would restart a book several times with the exact same conditions, starting with maybe Helshezag or a two-handed weapon, and in the second round of the first combat I want to switch weapons but it's not possible. Then I restart under the the exact same conditions and suddenly it is possible. And then again not and so forth, inconsistent. I think this only ever happened (frequently) in the first weapon switching in a book. I know this is a controversial game mechanic in general, but I think it adds a bit of a strategic layer to the game. But I would be okay with it being banned as well, the weapon switching can be tedious.
And one new bug: book 18, section 87: lose 5 EP doesn't check.

Book 18, section 323: this is the bridge toll I mentioned earlier where it asks if you have 4 Crowns but doesn't subtract them.
Book 18, section 303: I got "if the enemy loses more EP", then all options are greyed out, can't progress.

Book 22, section 223: If I don't have any non-droppable special items, I cannot proceed.

Book 22, section 223: If I don't have any non-droppable special items, I cannot proceed. There are many similar to these, also in the previous books, which do not have the special check for no Special Items, depending on the complexity of the section in general. I added it in that particular section though.

Regarding whether weapon switching should be permitted during combat, it is not covered in the books at all one way or another. I doubt it was Joe's intention that you would get one "free" use of Helshezag per combat. In fact depending upon your interpretation of the text, you could say you should still deduct one EP per round even if you switch away from using it. When you acquire the sword the text states: "In the second and subsequent rounds of every combat in which you use the sword, you must reduce your ENDURANCE level by 1 point."
But I'm also ok with people who take my view on the matter to just not use the weapon switching mechanism, and allow others with a differing opinion to do so.
There are some combats where you cannot use a weapon at all, or cannot use certain types of weapons such as Special Item weapons, for a certain number of rounds of combat, and having the mechanic available for use in those cases is important and necessary, as it is clear there that Joe did intend you to be able to switch weapons after the round limit has expired.

I actually mostly agree with you, Nym. And especially using the Helshezag with weapon switching does feel cheap, but it's really only a minor advantage.
The way I see it, even if Joe didn't intend for this mechanic, it was implemented, why not use it. Other video games also let you change weapons instantly mid-combat even if it may be unrealistic. But I also wouldn't miss it if it was removed or restricted to only specific necessary sections.
