I still hav'nt decided whether to buy the DE set.
If i were to sell it in my own country Singapore, i would very likely be selling it at 80% off my purchase price because the local marginal propensity to collect lone wolf books is very low.
Sigh.... tough decision.. šš

Wow, LW2 Definitive hardcover really does look excellent in the unboxing video Ben posted. My excitement level for these just went way up.

Anyone recognize the extra materials from the appendices that have been previewed so far? Looks like a Giak language glossary and maybe an overview of the Sommerlund military? Iām curious if this is new content or is pulled from older resources (either way is fine with me).
Alsoā¦ from that unboxing videoā¦ official rules for increasing/decreasing the difficulty level?!? Thatās going to be interesting.

Zorkraan could confirm. Too bad that it is book 2 that is featured in this video. If it had been book 1, I would had compared it with my French copy to see if it is the same content (the expanded edition of book 1 was published in French last year and is basically the upcoming DE).

I am weak.
After seeing the Definitive Edition unboxing I struggled to justify not buying it.
And I did.
Now I have to buy an extra shelve and hopefully set collector and definitive edition one above the other.

Is this why book 1 costs a little more than the other two? Just looked at my receipt to find my order number and book 1 is 5 pounds more.

As far as I know, every book will have supplemental materials. Book 1 probably costs more because it is the extended edition and so is longer than books 2-3. Also, new art was done for book 1, and a new cover, while books 2-3 are reusing old assets (except for, perhaps, those supplements).

It's more likely because it is the 550 section version rather than the 350 original, as well as having new artwork from Nerdgore while books 2 & 3 have the original Garry Chalk interior art.

They have just started the shipping: linkThe bad news: "Pre-orders for Shadow on the Sand and The Chasm of Doom will go live in the next few weeks." I was expecting it would be faster, especially since they were first supposed to come out in January.
